Hi rehabman, I've posted before related to audio, but now I've realized that my problem is simply mojave is not seeing my codec at all in my ioreg and I was told that the fix for this lies in the patches of my config.plist. In high sierra I had audio working from multibeast but multibeast fails to install anything audio related on mojave for me. I can post my config if necessary but I was curious if you could let me know what apci hot patches i should tick. Thanks!

@ben130,

Patching AppleHDA via Clover kext patch or by injector/dummy kext .. is pretty old hat these days.

Try using Lilu + AppleALC .. it dynamically patches AppleHDA at boot time so superior in every way.
If you new to Lilu + AppleALC see this guide :-

Cheers

I already have applealc and lilu installed, sorry I should've mentioned that and my codec is alc299 which is supported with 21 different layout ids. The problem is, it doesn't even see my audio codec, so there isn't anything for the kext to apply to.

moved to laptop support

multibeast is mainly for desktops

Hackintool may be able to help:

Use this tool and upload your problem reporting files:
I've used hackintool as well, It just says intel sunshine with my device id, and I've used it to get the different values for the layout ids, but no luck getting it to see my codec

Have you enabled HPET in BIOS and applied the HPET fix if necessary ?
See the section titled Trouble Shooting AppleALC towards the bottom of Chapter 5 :-
