What about i9 9900K? Is it recognized properly now?
Tx
If I don't spoof the CPU type as you mentioned above, the 9900k is recognized as "3.6GHz Intel core i7" (8 cores, 256KB/core = 2MB L2 cache, 16MB L3* cache) in 10.14.5 (was "unknown" in 10.14.4).
So I guess it's now ~~recognized~~ as an i7-9700K, right?
However (and in addition to the L3 cache value mentioned), Activity Monitor still reports 16 threads* (this is right for the 9900K) rather than only 8 (as expected for the 9700K).
So I guess it nevertheless ~~works~~ as an i9-9900K, right?
Now if I spoof the CPU type in Clover, would It change anything performance-wise? Or would it only be cosmetic?

* these values all correspond to the 9900K and not the 9700K
Have you tried this yet?side note: I'm still using iMac18,3 (since 19,1 was not available back then).
Will I see any improvement if I switch to 19,1 or will it be the same?

Haven't tried it either. I added 0x1005 to identify. I will update the machine later as I need to change some other things too.Not yet.
AFAIU this will not change anything. Am I wrong? Let me know please...
