pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Posted also in the deals of the day (yesterday, actually).....

Lol. The temptations!!!!! :banghead:

Unfortunately, NYS started forcing Newegg to collect tax on sales to New York at the beginning of the year... After taxes, I'd still be paying over $700. I'd rather buy at $700 from another retailer and let the little guy earn more than pay more taxes.

Seems to work okay on Z370 and Z390 motherboards.....and the deal is still valid as of this morning....(just checked)

Ah, sales taxes, how do I hate thee.....I hate thee in the morning, I hate thee in the evening......etc, etc. Living in CA, I understand the issue with sales taxes, and even now at B and H, I have to pay sales tax.....

Is there a fix? / Does it need a fix?

I am not sure about NYS but here in CA exp LA the little guy would be Fry's and Best Buy, not sure they class as the little guy. All the little stores like PC club are gone, Radio Shack Gone, Mom and pop, Gone, I mean there is micro center but they are like way to far the gas in my car would make up the difference without even getting me home. I personally do not even mind sales tax I can write off business related sales tax. What I mind is being taxed double for something but that is a whole different subject.

hi @pastrychef thanks for all your previous help! My system works perfect except for this workstation not dependable. Here is the issue:

When using Adobe Photoshop, every 30-50% of the time this happens. Everything is perfect until usually 20-40mins in, when I click "Save", the 1-2 opened files just stop saving. It stays at 0% saving and never moved even if left for hours. The funny thing is that other apps work and even in Photoshop is can still sometimes "Save to Web" and can export a full quality JPG so as not to completely lose my work, but not always possible (~50%+ of the time I can do Save as Web).

What I did thus far:
- I cloned my system onto another SSD drive to see if the issue was in a fault drive or a hardware SSD error. The issues stayed the same. So it doesn't seem to like the SSD itself is the cause.

- I am thinking it might have to do with the video card I have, even though it is the Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro which is like the to graphics card recommended on the tonymac guide. I am thinking of getting a used RX 580 Pulse or Armor to see if the issue continues, even though I feel stupid to downgrade to make the system work, or another Vega 64. But Im not sure that would solve anything since the current system isn't stable in Photoshop

@pastrychef , any guesses on what could be causing this?

Weird... I can't think of anything that can cause this... Please post your EFI and I'll see if there are anything obvious that you may have missed.
