Hi,

I'm trying to figure out my last ISSUE for my Mojave 10.14.5 install. It's basically the only thing remaining to have
a fully working Hackintosh !

I have spent almost two full days troubleshooting the issue, but I'm at a dead-end ..completely stumped ..so I'm turning to the gurus out there for a hand ! Please, need help !! :)

Motherboard: EVGA Z390 DARK
CPU: Core i9 9900k
GPU: AMD Radeon VII

406525

BIOS Settings set to PEG and IGPU Enabled with 256 RAM.

I have configured my Clover config as attached and I have included my EFI folder.

THE PROBLEM:

When I boot with BIOS set to PEG and IGPU Disabled, everything boots just fine and no issues.

When I boot with BIOS set to PEG and IGPU Enabled, I get a kernel panic during boot and cannot boot into Mojave.

I have not figured anyway to see what that kernel panic is...there's too much spam. I have tried the disable panic kext logging KernelToPatch, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Please, if anyone could help me resolve this issue I would really appreciate !!!

I think 0x3E928086 in device id is missing
Try this config

Thanks, your help is very much appreciated !

Unfortunately, I did try your config and always the same: Kernel Panic during boot when iGPU enabled :(

I looked at all the guides and forums and technically, based on all I have read, my config should be configured as attached. However, always Kernel Panic and no way to know what causes it :(

Use 19,1 SMBIOS and you are using the wrong ig-platform-id. You must use to 0300983E. Also for headless, you must remove all properties except ig-platform-id.

ok, I will try this now !

Unfortunately, still the same issue: Kernel panic during boot when IGPU Enabled. IGPU Disabled, no issues.

Here's my config as you recommended.

I think I've resolved this one.....

iGPU does not work with Radeon VII. After reading in various forums, in Mojave 10.14.5, with Radeon VII, you need to disable iGPU and set SMBIOS 11.1 iMac Pro.

Cheers

You mean iMac Pro 1,1 not 11,1.

Try this conifg.plist

I solved this problem by removing WhateverGreen. Because, no matter what I tried with WhateverGreen didn't work at all (I tried versions 1.2.8 and 1.2.9). Supposedly it should even work without any clover configuration with newest WhateverGreen, but no chance. I tried adding Device Properties like AAPL,ig-platform-id etc... all kinds of combinations but it always resulted in black screen just before login screen comes up (I suspect it was a kernel panic because I couldn't even ssh into the machine after that, only a hard reset worked).

Finally the solution was to completely remove WhateverGreen and use the Clover "Inject Intel" method.
  1. SMBIOS iMac 19,1
  2. Enable "Graphics -> Inject Intel" (Optionally for ATI cards, I also enable Inject ATI and set FB Name to Orinoco for RX580)
  3. Set "Graphics -> ig-platform-id = 0x3E980003"
  4. Add "Devices -> Properties -> PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) -> device-id = 983E0000
  5. Add patches to "ACPI" -> "Change GFX0 to IGPU" and "Change HECI to IMEI"
Now my iGPU works in headless mode and RX580 is recognized although not with all ports, but I'm ok with HDMI for now.

My hardware is:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi
CPU: i9 9900k
GFX: Sapphire Nitro+ RX580
