pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Which model of Vega 64 are you using? How is your monitor connected? HDMI? DisplayPort? Which version of macOS are you running?
Hi,
It's the NITRO+ Vega64 from Sapphire. It works fine in Windows (installed on another SSD). The monitor is connected using DP. Pretty sure it did the same issue while using HDMI as well...
macOS 10.14.4

Thank you for your time!

You can read about all the reasons why this is likely a fake leak of the next MP.

Well, honestly, we all got so excited.....(but really a NEW Fire Pro? I sure hope not....). Yea, it's bogus.

Hmm... I think the problem has something to do with AppleGFXHDA. That's DisplayPort/HDMI audio. I don't know why you are having a problem with that.

Actually yeah, it seems to happen when there's something playing (be it music or Skype audio). You might be onto something. Any ideas on what I might start messing with to fix this?

Any reason why you choose to use the dummy kext with iMac19,1 rather than just use iMacPro1,1 without the dummy kext? Using iMacPro1,1 should enable iTunes DRM and Netflix/Amazon Vide/etc DRM in Safari.

Because iMac Pro was the least stable of all the SM I tried, second you need the dummy kext with Rx 580 and iMac pro 1,1. For hardware encode/decode. So I tried it on 19,1 and everything has been great for the past month. Hope stays stable with the update to 14.5.

What audio output have you selected in System Preferences > Sound? If you use the ALC1220A, it should not affect AppleGFXHDA...

It's the built-in output, so I suppose the ALC1220A, yeah. And I'm using the lime-green jack on the back of the motherboard, not the HDMI Audio.

Weird... Can you make a backup of your EFI folder and then try with WhateverGreen.kext removed? WhateverGreen.kext can be found in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/.

Can I just disable it in Clover (spacebar -> options, block kext) without removing the kext itself?
Should be pretty easy to roll-back if anything goes wrong.

Thanks!
