pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

@pastrychef can i ask u to do a OpenCL test in geekbench ? Mine dropped from 170k to 150k. (with no VGTab)

I updated post #6426 with Geekbench OpenCL results. My scores seem to have suffered huge drops compared to previous versions of macOS. I guess it's to be expected since OpenCL has been depreciated and support will be dropped with macOS 10.15.0.

ty, its not just me :) I also saw this for the Vega 48 on www.macworld.co.uk. So all is fine.

Hmm... I just noticed that IGPU is not working right with 10.14.5.

Was it ever confirmed that 19,1 with 9900 and Vega uses quick sync? I use 19,1 with a 580 and a dummy kext for hardware on encoding/decoding on the 580 and no IGPU.

I know that someone confirmed that iMac19,1 uses 9900K and not 9900KF. I assumed that Quick Sync was enabled.

Figured it out. WhateverGreen 1.2.8 was causing VDA decoder to fail.

I removed WhateverGreen and everything is back to normal.

Maybe it is if you have a 5xx, but it is not if you have a Vega.

I was using the special build until today hopefully upgrading does not bring back the instability I had before.

WhateverGreen was the culprit. I removed it and everything is back to normal. I guess we have to wait for an update.
