For the most part I'm solid with the Z390. I followed @CaseySJ instructions with a few minor deviations and I'm golden. The only thing I can't solve is the damn VT-d/dart=0 problem with I have to have. Probably OT but I'm going off on bunny trails thinking that my GPU config may have something to do with my woes.Z390 is a completely different beast. My EFI folder will most probably need modification to work right with Z390.
I picked up a Z390 motherboard, played with it for 12 straight hours, put it back in the box, and tossed it to the back of my closet. At least on the Z390 motherboard that I have (Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming), it was a PITA to get macOS booted and there were some really strange BIOS behavior. Nowhere near as good as my Asus Z370 motherboard for hackintoshing.
