Hello everyone,

I have used this guide to get my hackintosh going.
iMac Pro X99 - Live the Future now with macOS 10.14 Mojave [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

My System:

Motherboard - Gigabyte G1Gigabyte X99-Ultra Gaming-CF
CPU - i7 6800K (Broadwell-E)
Graphics - EVGA GeForce RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra

SSD - Crucial 1TB SSD (MX500)
RAM - Corsair Vengence 32Gb 3200Mhz kit
Cooling - Corsair H80i v2

If I have missed any necessary System Info, let me know.

-- A little bit of background --

About 2 years ago I used these exact same parts for my previous successful hackintosh build with the help of Nick Woodhams' X99 Hackintosh Guide

Fast forward 2 years and the only thing that has changed in my PC was the graphics card. I used to have an EVGA GeForce 1080 FE but recently upgraded to the EVGA GeForce RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra. I'm fully aware that there are no Web Drivers for Mojave yet, hoping that there will be but if not. I may need to run 2 different graphics cards in my rig, the other one being the Radeon Vega 64. I do have an older GTX 950. Would that work for now?

I decided to try the Mojave 10.14.5 Beta (downloaded from the Mac App Store) I also used KGP's actual respective X99 EFI-Folder distribution from github.

I'm fairly familiar with the complexity that a Hackintosh can have. But I can honestly say that after working on this for the last 2.5 weeks I think I'm ready to ask for some expert help. :headbang:

I'm sure its some options that I haven't enabled/disabled but I just about gotten as far as I can get at the moment. Thank you to everyone in advance for any help. Much appreciated.

- I've attached a screenshots of all the "kexts" & "drivers64/drivers64UEFI" Folders that I have loaded on my EFI. Please advise if any unnecessary ones are present of if I am missing any.

- I've also attached my exact config.plist file.

Thank you
DTM

NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext is deprecated - Now part of WhateverGreen.kext.

You have every memory fix driver except for the one that you need - OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi - See nickwoodhams.com

AptioMemoryFix-64.efi, OsxAptioFixDrv, OsxAptioFix2Drv, OsxAptioFix3Drv all do the same job and are mutually exclusive, delete them all and use OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi instead.

Oh my, wow of course I would miss the most important one

Thanks, I will try this tomorrow and post back.

Ok I have done the above you mentioned and it got me past the “+++++++”

Now I am stuck at a Kernel Panic. Please see attached photo.

  • what is your Graphics Controller Selection in BIOS_Peripherals?

  • Physically Remove the macOSMojave-unsupported EVGA GeForce RTX 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra from PCIE slot keeping your Radeon Vega 64 in the first PCIE X16 Slot digitally connected to the Monitor.
  • Now try booting the system to see if you are still getting KP.

Thanks for the response.

I do not have an AMD Vega 64 GPU yet. I was only saying that I may get one at some point. - I do have an older GTX 950 though. Is there any reason why I can’t run two GPU’s?

  • With the available Nvidia Graphics you have listed, and lack of Intel HD graphics from your CPU, your Hardware is not ready for Mojave.
  • It can run macOSHigh Sierra
  • I have edited the uploaded 'slightly crooked' BIOS screen shots (I think taken with a Camera instead of Automatic Capture of BIOS screens on to a FAT32 Formatted USB Disk using F-12 Key in BIOS Setup screen-> #33 )

Brilliant!

Thanks for the tip! I will definitely use that shortcut for taking bios screenshots. This whole time I’ve been doing it wrong o_O

Ok I will go ahead and switch over to High Sierra. I did have a few more questions that I’d like to ask. It would really help me understand the world of Hackintosh

1. Could you explain a little more on what exactly about the Intel HD Graphics & my CPU/mobo is actually holding up holding Mojave?

2. Where in my BIOS did you find the answer you’re looking for?

3. Do you have a specific version of High Sierra that I should install?

4. Might be a dumb question but hey...yolo...Would I be able to install a Web Driver that supports my old 950 with Hardware Acceleration in macOS High Sierra?

5. Is it possible to run 2 GPUs in my rig? I was wanting to use the GTX 950 in PCIe slot 1 for macOS and the 2080Ti in PCIe slot 2 for Windows10?

6. What about all of my updated kexts...will I need to get the version(s) for macOS High Sierra?

I do appreciate your input. It truly does help me learn and possibly future Hackintoshers :headbang:

There is No Processor associated Integrated Intel HD with Intel i7-6800K [See image]

2. Where in my BIOS did you find the answer you’re looking for?
  • About Graphics, I knew from your listed Hardware including the 2 Nvidia Graphics that are NOT Supported with Nvidia Web-drivers for Mojave; but they both have Nvidia Web-drivers for macOS High Sierra upto final version 10.13.6
  • I checked the BIOS for other problems which I have annotated on uploaded edited images, should you decide to get a Mojave- Supported PCIE Graphics card(most current AMD Radeon, a few selected older Radeons and some Older Nvidia GTX and GT cards)
3. Do you have a specific version of High Sierra that I should install?
4. Might be a dumb question but hey...yolo...Would I be able to install a Web Driver that supports my old 950 with Hardware Acceleration in macOS High Sierra?

  • Not a dumb question. Check previous answer to question #2.
5. Is it possible to run 2 GPUs in my rig? I was wanting to use the GTX 950 in PCIe slot 1 for macOS and the 2080Ti in PCIe slot 2 for Windows10?
Although I have no system with 2 PCIE Cards (I had no need to use 2 cards; too poor to afford even to test! ) I expect you can have both for macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and Windows 10 Dual boot using CLOVER as common boot loader for a "dual- boot dual-disk" system .

6. What about all of my updated kexts...will I need to get the version(s) for macOS High Sierra?

I don't know all other devices you have. But for the listed hardware, you are good to go.

Thank you VERY MUCH!!

That was perfect, I learned quite a bit!

I'm currently making a High Sierra Bootable USB, I will post back when I have some more updates.

Thanks
