WiFi card is detected but cannot be turned on.
Wi-Fi is present in the list of network options in System Preferences -> Network.
The status is "Off". Clicking "Turn Wi-Fi On" button, the button momentarily goes blue but stays as "Turn Wi-Fi On".
Sometimes after a re-boot, the System Preferences -> Network takes forever to fill in (the status bar WiFi icon indicates it is trying to connect). In such situations, clicking on the Wi-Fi option in the network list continues to display the Ethernet details for a minute or two before WiFi details appear.

Following "WiFi Injection".
1. Remove all Wifi patches and kexts
- I cannot find any patches or kexts to remove (nothing mentions wifi or network)
2. AirportBrcmFixup/acidanthera
- README: acidanthera/AirportBrcmFixup
- tried: Clover Airport Fix + AirportBrcmFixup
- tried: Clover Airport Fix + AddProperties(fake device-id) + AirportBrcmFixup
- for "AddProperties(fake device-id)" I just added a WiFi device in Clover; I do not know of any properties I can add
- add Clover boot option "brcmfx-country=NL"
- Installed AirportBrcmFixup.kext and Lilu.kext to /Library/Extensions; rebuilt kextcache.
