Motherboard
HP ProBook 470 G5 (Clover)
CPU
Core i7 8550U
Graphics
Intel UHD Graphics 620 / NVIDIA GeForce 930MX
Created the UEFI USB Boot disk AOK - it seems.
Can read the latest NVMe Drive in 512 byte block size and goes through the entire install BUT then ...

I get a POST ERROR when the system auto-reboots after the install of OSX High Sierra onto the above HP ProBook. I have attached a screen shot.
The Post Error says system time is invalid.

I have tried the following to get past this.

1. Reinstalled Windows 10 and set the time ot UTC in the Registry - didn't think that would help but did it anyway
2. Updated the BIOS to the most recent Q85 Ver. 01.02.04 01/30/2018
3. Confirmed BIOS settings as recommended

But no matter what I do, can't get past this error.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I cannot find anything on the web (at least that I can see that is relevant)

Cheers

Greg

The error is normal... ignore it.
It will go away after you complete post-install, as per guide:

Hi all,

Thank you for the stellar work!

The same 'Post Error/The system time is invalid' crashes my system during install. I'm hitting a road block.

Any advise is very welcome. Thank you!

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

gregsearle, I have the same notebook, any progress?
Thanks!

Hello RehabMan! Thank you! Followed the guide and now I'm on desktop. There are a lot things to fix like audio, PM, wifi (already bough one from ebay), backlight. But I noticed that AppleLPC kext is not loaded so most problems are from here. I tried to fix it in clover config but no succes.
I also tried to patch LPC in original DSDT (now in Clover/ACPI folder) but when putting it into patched folder I have a lot of ACPI errors and kernel panick.
Guys please help!

Also, would be great to receive a feedback from gregsearle since the last time he wrote was on Apr 24...

Hi! I have the same notebook HP 470 g5 (but i3-8gen) with 10.13 on it. Have you already try to install 10.14? My internal screen not working, when I try to boot from installation media of 10.14. If you already install 10.14, can you share with your EFI folder?)
