pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

In BIOS, enable IGPU. Set your RX 580 to be "primary display" if you have the option in BIOS.

Thanks for your response! I removed NoVPAJpeg.kext, applied the same BIOS Settings and added the entry in my config.plist – but still my 9600k IGPU doesn't show up (assuming it will in System Report) and .jpeg Previews still crashing / not working.

Am I missing something? Maybe a different entry for the 9600k instead of the 9900k?

You didn't add the entry in config.list correctly. You added it to config.plist > Devices > Arbitrary.

It should be in config.plist > Devices > Properties.

Also, if you are running an old version of Clover, please update to latest.

Hi @pastrychef In your initial notes for this build, on the subject of WiFi & Bluetooth you mention the "Intel card that was included with the motherboard". I got hold of a used Z370-G-WiFi motherboard but I'm struggling find the Intel card. There are a couple of unpopulated M.2 slots (one of which now has my SSD in) but I can't track down the Intel card in order to remove it.

I guess it's possible that the seller took the card out before shipping it (why?) and that wouldn't be the end of the world as I'd need to swap it for the Apple / Broadcom card anyway. Just wondered what you thought.

Thanks,

Steve

EDIT: Oh, is the Intel card integrated into the WiFi antenna unit?

Oh dear, yes, I noticed I was using an old Version of Clover configurator indeed! Thanks for pointing it out.
JPEG Preview working fine now! Thank you so much for helping me (and all of us) out!

Will try to map out the USB ports in the near future, should be easier with an up-to-date Clover Configurator.

I'm glad to help.

All the mapping of the USB ports is already done for the Asus Z370-G motherboard. Just choose which ports you want to disable to bring total USB port count down to 15 or less.

macOS Mojave 10.14.3 update went fast and smooth. I think it took under 10 minutes and two reboots.

Didn't even realize this update was released... Too busy playing Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild....

I am having issues with USB. I cannot make USB-C work in my system. I am using an ASUS PRIME Z370-A. IORegistryExplorer only shows 15 entries. What am I doing wrong?

I am using the latest EFI folder for Mojave.
