You have to spoof Coffee Lake IGPU.

How is the Z390 working for you? Which motherboard did you get? Does your M.2 slot work with non-CNVi Wi-Fi/Bluetooth? Audio? Sleep/wake? Still no native NVRAM, right?

M.2 slot working great. I have 2 NVMe, one with macOS and one with Windows.
audio OK, no native NVRAM.
Sleep wake not tested yet. but I have shutdown and reboot not working....I have to do it manually.

PS quick sync working now but I used different values:
0000923e
923e0000

Thank you!!!

It don't see any vendors selling the Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (Wi-Fi AC) board any longer. There are used boards of that specification in the USA market as of 1/5/2019 but no new stock I see on Amazon, Newegg B&H, so I wonder is this board being phased out in favor of a z390 or what? I was ready to buy one of these and follow your excellent mATX build but now I'm stuck...

Yes, unfortunately, many of the Z370 motherboards have been discontinued in favor of Z390. If you want to follow this build, you can do so with just about any Z370 motherboard. Generally speaking, they are all quite similar. The only thing you would have to do on your own would be to map out the USB ports to create your own SSDT for USB.

I recommend finding a Z370 with the features you want and grabbing it quick because it doesn't appear that inventories will be re-filled at this point. Z370 is still a bit more compatible with macOS than Z390 and Z390 really doesn't offer much, if any, additional features.

There are still a fair amount of Z370-A Prime motherboards available, and with some modifications to the USB parameters, mine works great with the EFI provided here in this thread.

But there are others, including the Z370-A II.....https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1437084-REG/asus_prime_z370_a_ii_lga1151.html
