Really? What was the problem?
yes

I can not explain myself, I did not do anything.
When I put the new tb3.aml the usb3 started working.
But do not see more tb3 in the pci information,as mentioned in the previous post.
I put back the old Tb3-ttr.aml and everything was okay, usb3 work very well and I have tb3 in the pci information.
I know it makes no sense, but it worked.

There's no issue. He said everything is working now. A MacBook Pro with AMD graphics and Titan Ridge Thunderbolt should be able to support DisplayPort 1.4. Only the Alpine Ridge or Intel Graphics is limited to DisplayPort 1.2. I would like to see an exact model name for the MacBook Pro to confirm it has Titan Ridge. Or a IORegistryExplorer.app screen shot or save file. A screenshot of the resolution timing information displayed by SwitchResX should confirm that it's working at faster than DisplayPort 1.2 speed.

A test with Thunderbolt add-in card would be interesting but unnecessary, since the display also supports DisplayPort input. Regular monitors use DisplayPort. I suggest comparing functionality of Thunderbolt connection vs USB-C or DisplayPort with or without USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 connection. This display has no special functions except for USB hub. I believe audio is done through the video connection (DisplayPort or HDMI) instead of USB like in the LG UltraFine displays? IORegistryExplorer.app will tell you the USB (or PCIe + USB for Thunderbolt) devices of the display.

He said he is having issues with Hi-DPI....if there are no issues, there is no need to use SwitchResX.

Would you mind sharing your EFI folder? My system is effectively the same but i7900X. Still having issues with mine so it would be greatly appreciated.

@kgp Having a slight issue adopting the new SSDT-X299-TB3HP.aml, I will attach my old SSDT-X299-TB3HP-TTR.aml. and the new -TB3HP which I modified and got half working via PCI Card System Information (see screenshot)

Thanks

Which adapter? Do you use SSDT-X299-XHCI.aml? Seems that some people have problems with loading the NHI PCI driver with SSDT-X299-TB3HP.aml. We have to find out why. On my system, everything works with the GC-Titan Ridge. Please upload IOREG.saves using SSDT-X299-TB3HP-TTR.aml and SSDT-X299-TB3HP.aml, respectively.

I have the Titan Ridge card, maybe I was confused is the SSDT-X299-TB3HP-TTR.aml for Titan Ridge only? Or did SSDT-X299-TB3HP.aml replace the SSDT-X299-TB3HP-TTR.aml?

Everything works fine with the SSDT-X299-TB3HP-TTR.am I uploaded earlier (which you helped modify for me) and I am using the XHCI.aml

@taylorsyn, @gigignopechegno

there was a bug in the NHI implementation in SSDT-X299-TB3HP.aml. Please reload modified file from Github, adopt the file to your system and report back if it works now properly.

Cheers,

KGP
