[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Status

Odd issue on my HP EliteBook 8470p. I did an in-place upgrade of Mojave per the guide. It went well - I'm still on the previous version of Clover. Everything installed after running all of the post-install tasks in the guide. I updated all of the .kext files in the directory per the instructions for updating from the git repository online. I installed everything from the Terminal and everything is working except for sound. I have no audio devices. I've reinstalled the new kexts via the Terminal a second time and then rebuilt the kext cache from Terminal. Still no audio. I have included the appropriate files and I am using the AppleHDA build for audio.
"Problem Reporting" files are incomplete.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

HP ProBook 4540s / AppleALC branch / RehabMan's Clover (latest version)

1. Microphone jack not working. Is just me ?

2. Clover timeout stuck at 5 seconds remaining. Clover from SourceForge works as expected.

3. Siri doesn't work (I don't really care but it's nice to have it)

For 1 and 3 you have attached files.

Thanks again for helping us !

After upgrading to Mojave the audio stopped working. Tried both master and applealc branches. Any clue?

Audio layout-id injection is done by way of SSDT in this guide, not config.plist.
Please follow as written (easy to change the layout-id in the .asl).
If you have an issue, attach PR files, as per FAQ.
Hey, rehabman, after testing, I confirmed that the 840g3 sound CX20724 appalc layout-id should use 13 to make the speaker and headphones work normally. If the layout-id=3 is used, the speaker works normally and the headphone output will not work.

Compare to master branch.

Is your performance in sourceforge Clover ok? (as far as arrowing around in the GUI).
I held back from latest Clover svn, as I had issues with performance past v4658.
I will look into updating my build if that has been fixed...
