pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Thanks Pastry,
it was maybe coil whine, i know..
a friend has given me a rx 570 sapphire, zero problem everything is fine but it is too light for what I need. I think I fall back on a 580 pulse 8 go

Did you find a sort of supplemental update from 17G65 to 17G2112 (ore even newer)? I would like to have native compatibility with Coffee Lake under my desktop machine but I haven't found any update...

Please see this post, paragraph 3.

Please see this post, paragraph 3.

If you're talking about this paragraph: "You can create a macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G2112) installer by running installinstallmacos.py" ... well it will create a complete installer instead of a supplemental update... I don't want to re-install everything from scratch...

pastry you told to use GPUTest to which is such a thing like Furmark. I can't get it to work. Do I have to do something? Firing up GPUtest_GUI doesnt do anything and GPUTest itself is only displaying a triangle. Any idea?

Pastrychef, other thing, i tested too on a other hackintosh still high sierra 10.13.6. so it was a other motherboard, other powersuply, other cpu (5960x). same same same ****ing noise!!!

should we still talk about coil whine while I changed machine ??? I think there is an incompatibility with the sapphire Vega 56.

no one used, on Tonymac, exactly this brand "SAPPHIRE" (not MSI or different) VEGA 56 ?

It won't reinstall everything. Just run the installer and you will be updated.

I think the last time I did a clean install was around 2006 when I got my first Mac Pro.

Hi pastrychef, I just installed the latest Mojave Public Beta from High Sierra and updated to EFI v4.4. Everything is great so far except for the fact that no microphones are recognized except the "Internal Microphone", which doesn't work. How can I fix this? Screen Shot 2018-08-30 at 4.45.34 PM.png

Are you using the jack connected to:

Was it working for you in High Sierra?

Yes, I am using the HD Audio Jack shown in the picture. It was working with EFI v3.6 but then it stopped working after EFI v4. I was going to do the fix that you suggested to me in the past with changing the Audio Parameter from 0 to 1 in the config.plist but that option no longer exists in Clover Configurator. Has it been moved?

One more issue that I just noticed, if I play music on slightly higher volumes with my headphones, the voice breaks up and there is a sort of static. Could it just be that the HDAudio cable for my case is damaged or that the port is damaged? If I plug the headphones into the back, they work perfectly, so I doubt that it's a software issue.
