Hi,

I've read a number of threads on this issue but none have resolved the issue I'm having. My build wakes and sleeps just fine and in fact is now 100% apart from this one issue.

I'm attaching ioreg and clover in the hope someone can offer a solution I may have missed here.

I've tried enabling and disabling the updated port limit patch both with and without my custom port fix ssdt and rebooting but every time it's the same result - externals 2 x BUP Slims - USB3 show up as internals as does my USB 2 Toshiba 500Mb.

It's not the end of the world but I would like to fix this if possible.

Hope someone can help...

Thanks

Your USB configuration is wrong.
See guide:

Thanks RHM but alas this is the exact guide from which I built the SSDT and followed it painstakingly and to the letter / so what am I missing?
dmg's for example mount and appear as external or removable, my USB 2 sticks also but not the USB3 Slim externals. I really haven't a clue what else to do which is why the question...

You clearly did not follow the guide carefully at all.
The USBInjectAll.kext you have installed is very old and does not support SMBIOS iMac18,3.
Read the guide for links to the current kext.
Then revisit all work on your SSDT, as I don't see how you can do port discovery properly without USBInjectAll.kext working properly.

Thanks again - I did actually download the latest kext as I have it saved but I think I must have overwritten it when trying to solve a different issue from an old kext backup. Everything is now exactly as I it should be. I guess I just didn't suspect that the kext might be the culprit.
