Snow Leopard Install Problems

It depends on which version you used. Chameleon?
I'm not sure. It was the iBoot 3.3.0 file from the downloads page and I was following the SL guide.

Then you just need your Ethernet driver from MultiBeast.
You can continue to boot from the iBoot CD.
You must install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Combo Update too.
Ok so after I download the update and install (that seemed to go ok) I then run Multibeast and only select the Ethernet driver? Do you happen to know which category that's under?

For some reason I needed to add the GraphicsEnabler=No line at boot to make something appear. Is this just a Snow Leopard problem or do I need to add the 64-bit GraphicsEnabler=No option if I upgrade to El Capitan.

Are you serious ? Network of course.

That would make sense. :)

Sorry I didn't remember all the categories from when I tried this yesterday and the screenshot from the guide I was using for reference this morning doesn't show everything. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't somewhere non-obvious. Now I feel stupid. :)

By the time that you get to El Capitan you should change the boot loader to Clover and GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No will no longer be a valid boot argument.

Ok thank you. I assumed that Snow Leopard had some weirdness going on because it was so old. I'll give this all a try tonight and hopefully be posting from El Capitan.

Thank you for taking the time to answer all my newbie questions.

Maybe go back to bios and select the cd drive (iBoot) for boot priority 1.
Run multibeast again and make sure to choose Legacy boot mode, it should be the first option.

Same result. I only installed EasyBeast and the Ethernet but I get the same results.

EDIT: Well what do you know? I put my old NVIDIA GTX260 in and now it works. It must not like the Radeon 7770 for some reason.

If all that you want to do is to download another operating system then you are wasting your time attempting to install a boot loader to your hard drive - You can just boot from the iBoot CD.
