[Guide] Native Power Management for Laptops

even in real MBP12,1 it is like this?
A real MacBook Pro will reach the same minimum frequency.
Apple determines best operating ranges for each system, in terms of performance and power consumption.
Those values might change, of course, between machines and OS versions, if decided to change this behavior.

I don't have one, therefore never tested it, but I suspect so.
It would depend on which plist is used from X86PlatformPlugin.

where is AppleIntelInfo.txt?

AppleIntelInfo.dat.
Read post #1.

I've tested with both MBP12,1 and MBA6,2
please check which SMBIOS is good for my laptop.
AppleIntelInfo.txt inside both zip files.

You can see with MacBookAir6,2 you're reaching lower pstates.
It all depends on what you want... your choice.

I want to know what would you choose after seeing AppleIntelInfo.txt of both SMBIOS?
I dont know how these things work
"Reaching lower pstates" means I'll get better performance with MBA6,2?

You should test with both and decide for yourself.

Hi, i've use your guide to patch PM on my Acer Switch Alpha 12 3 days ago.
First few hours i've normally use my freshly installed High Sierra 10.13.5 and i think PM was fixed, the Min freq was 1.3GHz (800MHz in Intel spec but wasn't really a problem, i think it's because base clock in ssdt.aml is at 500MHz) and 2.3GHz max speed.

Today i've noticed my laptop was hotter than usually, that's because the CPU is always at 2.3GHz, so, running a Geekbench to see if theres no perf problems and it's good (2800 / 4500, good for a 4GB RAM Laptop).
I've also checked my ssdt.aml and think nothing has change since patching...

So, i attach the log of AppleIntelInfo.kext and my ssdt.dsl files, tell me if you need others files, hope someone can help me.

Thanks for reading :)

Edit : adding all the needed files

SSDT.aml not needed for the hardware in your profile.
And it is wrong to drop the CPU related SSDTs.
See guide for valid plists, remove SSDT.aml:

Found the problem, it was simply a malware.

The mistakes I mentioned in post #1000 are still relevant. Suggest you take the action I mentioned.
