12x is idle and 42x is max load as it should be... no need to change anything! it is perfect like this!

I am not sure. In benchmark tests like Cinebench I can see all cores running on max. speed 4,2GHz. However when I do performance test in Ableton Live, the CPU jumps between 1,2-3,2 GHz and audio gets broken because of no processing capacity. On windows I got the same scenario until I disabled all power saving CPU settings in BIOS and set minimal freq. to max in control panel/power settings. I got around 30-40% higher performance in the same stress test with the same application and hardware. So in default Skylake-x innovative power management is somehow difficult to control. Multithread audio application need more cpu power but CPU power management evaluated the situation as less stressful and do opposite. The result is CPU overload even the CPU resources are available. This is also the answer on higher CPU load of core audio without any processing. The issue is that any possible BIOS settings do not matter to OSX, it works independently.

So to me audio processing via core audio does not get maximum CPU power from the system like any other application

Please don’t make your problems with Ableton Live to a global X299 audio problem. We resolved all audio processing issues months ago. Your issues might be either related with a misconfiguration of either Ableton Live or your X299 system. Also, do you use the most recent version if Apleton? I don’t know or use this software at all, thus I also do not have any personal experiences to share.

Hey guys, does anyone know if the AppelACL.kext gets the 1050Ti to recognise the HD audio driver?

I've got all the latest kext and had just disabled the Kernal to Kext patch that was previously implemented that only worked for me till 10.13.3.

any suggestions?

Do not worry, I have 25 years experience in audio production on Win and OSX platforms and beta testing experience with many major audio software developers. I use Logic and Ableton from the version 3.x/1.x respectively. Now I use latency at 256 samples that should be default for 20 years old machines. I was using Xeon E5-V3 X99 on 10.12. hackintosh, E3-1231V3 with H87 on 10.8-10.11.hackintosh and genuine Mac Pro 3,1 8-Core 10.6-10.8. every time with Logic and Ableton Live. I am sure that this is not my problem and my goal is not searching for problems. And once again, the same behaviour is under Windows 10 as well. This is just the statement that Skylake-X power management use resources differently and is somehow difficult to reach maximum power for real time multithread audio processing. I can make some DAW Bench tests on Ableton to compare the results with Windows machines with the same CPU

@x-9er I run a 10 series card (two even) and have no KP's! I would highly recommend do a fresh clean virgin install and go from there

But now we need to know what you fused exactly between two codes as you say, apart from the change in the ACPI path definitions...

I am sorry to be that picky on that, but there is no other way to control any supposedly additionally implemented changes.

You know about the complexity and length of the TB-SSDT.aml. Nothing that can be compared or adopted just within two minutes.

I agree @kgp here is my ioreg with Loloflatsix's thunderbolt SSDT

Lets note here that @Loloflatsix file works with his and mine X299 Gigabyte board despite us having different revision models. Should be safe to assume this works with all x299 Gigabyte boards!

@kgp no one is trying to take credit for your hard work, we all appreciate what you have done and continue to do. Lets all take a deep breath that we are all working together to make it even better!

Which audio interface are you using?

I'm running Ableton Live 10 no problem whatsoever.

Same. 1080TI and no kernel panics. You have some other issue.

Behringer UMC204HD but it is not the case of interface. Apogee DUET FW on 1394 TI card with the same results. What interface do you have and what CPU load shows you Ableton with 256 samples and 32 samples / 48kHz? Can you send the picture?
