[Solved] Install hangs 2 minutes Help require

I was using the same version as you to install, maybe its something to do with this version, what i did to get the install finish is even it hangs from the first stage, just manually restart the system,
1. boot with the install usb then choose the drive you install the os on,
2. the installer will load up and continue, it may freeze again, if it does, just repeat step 1 till the full install finishs

that should get a full system install, but you will have my second problem, is the restart problem

anyway try that first..

hope it helps you

So if I understand correctly, iafter the first n Clover you simply chose the HD that was the target for the initial installation attempt, and this worked ? How many times did you have to do it ?

I have now tried that several times, and the installer window is slightly different when installing from the target disk, but it still fails, however it gets much further along the progress bar. With this new installer window there is no option to open an installer log. I will repeat and try to capture the error messages with my phone.

I think in total 3 times of freeze should install it

Yes, as a matter of fact it did. The installer got a little further every time, not really a behaviour I would have expected. Anyone know what is actually happening here ?

Eventually I was greeted with the desktop and ethernet worked as well. I was _so_ happy, I can finally get to do the work that has been piling up... Then I decided to shutdown and put the box under the table and clean up and get started. Alas, it was not to be.

After reconnecting everyting I started up again... only to be greeted by the BIOS setup. The installation target was the vertex SSD, and it shows up correctly in the SATA device list on the BIOS screen, but the list of boot devices is empty.

I can get back up by booting from the USB stick and choosing the drive where High Sierra is installed.

Off to search the forum again. Anyone have a quick answer to how to enable the drive to boot ?

its not right, but that seems the only why to get a 100% installation, very strange!

after you boot with usb, have you follow the postinstall steps? sounds like you haven't install the boot loader into the system you install, please do check if your reset works correctly and let me know.

Here is a update on the build, it all works perfect after installing a external gtx750ti
Everything works like a real Mac at less for now, so it’s the hd630 causing the problems, will update here if I encounter more issues, for now it’s 100% working and thank you for everyone that helped me through cheers guys

Ah, yes, Thank You. I had forgotten to run Multibeast.

Things pretty much works no, with the exception of odd issues with Safari consistently either freezing or failing to display on certain websites that have animations. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the GPU and hardware decoding of video. I selected the HD630 graphics option in Multibeast. One page that fails to load is the Mac Pro page in store.apple.com. Perhaps it is out of embarrassment ;-)

Just get a cheap GPU its worth it i think, no trouble after a GPU installed

Hi, I'm running into the same problem as you met. My installation frozen with 2min left, and the log is just the same as yours. So may I ask how did you solved this problem?
