It looks like you can add it via KextsToPatch in config.plist.

I'll try/test the GP107 version tomorrow when I've got some time.

In case anyone wants to know what graphics chip you've got here are links to the GT 1030 and GTX 1050 specs:

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/2875/geforce-gtx-1050

The 1050 Ti has a similar GPU as the 1050. GP-107-400 vs. 107-300

Here's Nvidia's chart of all the GP107 based cards:

Note the three Quadro P cards below.

If support is added, you shouldn't have to use the AppleHDA.kext from 10.13.3. Using the 10.13.3 AppleHDA is just a workaround for graphics cards not supported by AppleALC.kext.
Would you attach your 10.13.4 vanilla AppleHDA kext as I've deleted mine by mistake after I replaced it with the older 10.13.3 version. TIA.

Here's the one from 10.13.4 and the one from 10.13.3.

I restored HDMI audio to my GM107 following toleda's guide to finding the IOName for my graphics card and using KextsToPatch. No more need to mess with old version of AppleHDA.

Just got home after a long day at work. Will the kexts to patch method still be needed for GP107 cards once 1.2.7 AppleALC is released ?

It shouldn't. They appear to basically do the same thing. But my graphics card's IOName was not added to AppleALC so I will still need the KextsToPatch.

SO with all the new talk about AMD GFX compatibility increasing if i was looking to upgrade my 8300 to something better than my 710, would a Radeon RX 560 be a better option than say a 1050 since there looks to be better support in the future? I assume i would need to be on latest 10.13.4. What it work nearly OOB?

In my opinion, as of today, if I had to buy a graphics card for use with macOS, I would definitely buy an AMD card. I really want to try an AMD Radeon Pro WX 4100 because its (1) low profile and (2) single slot, but I still have a few other items ahead of it on my priority list.

If you don't mind losing one of the PCI-e slots, there has been success reports with the MSI low profile RX 560.

The audio kexts (AppleALC.kext, Lilu.kext, HDMIAudio.kext) can also be loaded with Clover instead of installation in /Library/Extensions/. I prefer to do it that way just to keep all the hackintosh kexts together.
