High Sierra - Graphic Lag with 1080

I'm wondering the same, are we all affected or ...?
Please, check this page:

Do you see any glitches, lags, micro lags..?

I'm on:
High Sierra 10.3.3
Nvidia drivers .106
It lags, way less than with 156 drivers, but you can clearly see the micro stops.

Checked that same page with my iPhone! and it renders way faster and without glitches.

:banghead:

Also in Sierra 10.12.5, that animation runs very smooth indeed.

i have the same issue, graphic lag when opening some window. i already set SMbios to iMac 14,2. and graphic lag still not gone.

Hot dang! If anyone else comes across this, I realized it was actually a CPU fix: Take a look at Activity Monitor while these issues are happening and see if your CPU % is maxing out over nothing. If so - match up the SMbios to a better CPU match. For example, I'm running an i5 8400 overclocked to 4.00GHz. I switched to iMac17,1 - rebooted - and it works flawlessly! If you have an NVIDIA GPU DO NOT worry about matching up the GPU in SMbios. This tool will take care of the GPU: https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update

I hope this helps someone, as it took me 3 days to get a 100% perfect Hackintosh running High Sierra.

My oh my... it's true in my case as well, at least for Window Resizing, the CPU peaks at max.
I'm using Intel Power Gadget to monitor it.

The thing is, I'm using iMac 18,3 which exactly matches my CPU.

Two questions if you don't mind, which definitions would you try first for a Z270X with an i7-7700K?
And could I use multibeast to just select the new definitions without altering anything else? I know I've done it this way with some Ethernet drivers and it worked fine, but never tried with definitions? Is there a better-easier way to change definitions?

Cheers!

Edit1. In Sierra 10.12.5, CPU peaks resizing windows but without lag.
Edit2. High Sierra 10.3.3, fast mouse movement peaks CPU as well... what's going on?

Sorry, I didn't mean to mislead anyone -- turns out that my SMBIOS choice was a coincidence. I actually played around by setting the SMBIOS, running benchmarks, and trying the next one. The very best SMBIOS for me actually turned out to be MacPro6,1 ! Trial and error, starting with the newest/best SMBIOS and working your way down. IMO do not try any Mac Pro settings with the 'x2' or iMacPro1,1 -- as those crashed my system. Otherwise, the solution for me was definitely to uninstall Nvidia Web Driver, and rather install via https://github.com/Benjamin-Dobell/nvidia-update. At that point, I tried a bunch of SMBIOS configurations - some presented awful lag, some ran great. Good luck!

Has anyone found a realistic solution to this problem? I have delays in closing windows and system lag. Is the answer to wipe clean and install sierra? Any help would be appreciated.

The best workaround right now is to downgrade to the .104 drivers and hope that at some point Nvidia fixes it.

Yeah I'm not sure that selling the 1070 will be my first choice, but I'll wipe and install sierra and see where that takes me.
If I have the same issue then it will be the solution.

But it appears the issue is somehow linked with high sierra, which I hate anyway.
