I never update the whole bundle at once. Do them individually and then you'll know exactly which one causes any issues that result after it's installed. Makes sense doesn't it ?
Yes absolutely, now its clear for me, thanks!

That means you have the supplemental update installed. It should be the same APFS.efi for that.
From what I understand, I'll have to wait for a new update to make the standby work?:roll2:

Try the 10.13.3 that is out today.

EDIT: I've just updated to 10.13.3 and sleep works with no problems. Wakes in 2 seconds after clicking my mouse.

I have a strange issue with my 8300SFF:

If i connect a USB 3 device to the rear USB 3 Ports, the monitor instantly goes black.

However, the machine does not crash! I can still access it via the network and it mounts
the drive that i´ve just connected. But no video out to the monitor anymore.

System:
8300SFF, i5, 8 GB RAM
Zotac GTX 1050
Mac OS 10.12.6 on a SanDisk 240 Gig SSD
Win 7 Pro 64 on a 500 GB HDD
LG BluRay Burner
Audio via an AVID MBox (Black 2Ch Model)
Monitor connected via HDMI; a 30 feet cable
USB2 Keyboard connected via a 30 feet active USB cable

What is the USB 3 device that you plug in ?

There has been an addition to step 8a. of the guide
In the Drop Tables section of Clover Configurator you should make two entries if you are using a generated SSDT for CPU PM.

Do not have anything checkmarked in the SSDT section of CC/ACPI. See Toleda's Maverick's Native CPU/IGPU PM guide

CPU PM.jpg

Save the changes you've made in CC and reboot. Check your p-states and power usage with Intel Power Gadget for Mac.
After making this change I've seen my CPU idle power draw go as low as .81W for the i5-3470. Idle frequency of 1.6 GHz.

I have a couple of Hard Drives; a 5.25 inch Seagate 4 TB with external power supply as well as a 2TB Toshiba 2.5 inch and a WD 2TB 2.5 inch without external power; none of them work. I bought a powered USB 3 4-Port Hub today because i assumed it could be a current issue; but even the hub without a connected device seems to "black out" my monitor.

usb 3 connected at start:
the machine starts… i see the leds flicker at the front panel… but nothing on my monitor…. but i can access it via ethernet.

usb 3 connected to the running machine (hot plug):
monitor goes black instantly, but the machine is still accessible via network

usb 3 disconnected at start:
normal behavior; all seems well.

strange.

That worked great, thanks. I would have responded sooner, but have been tied up.

I have made it to the clover options screen, once I amend the boot argument by adding -v, I make it to a grey screen and the spinning color wheel of death.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have configured the SSD to GPT, still the spinning color wheel of death.

Unfortunately not. done updating but nothing stand by :banghead:

Please, don't pound your head against the wall because of a sleep problem. Here's what you can do. Implement CPU power management if you haven't already.
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ro-8300-elite-desktop-pc.243272/#post-1672156 You'll need to create an SSDT for your 3570 CPU.

Make sure your power saver settings look like this. Uncheck everything. If those two things don't fix sleep then it may be best to perform a clean install. You can follow the new High Sierra video install guide. It goes into great detail on every step of the whole process.
