17C88 - I tried the upgrade and that’s when the problem happens.

Using the base.xx.dmg as per the guide also converted my HFS to APFS..

you need to edit the AppleSystemInfo.strings for it to be able to boot 17C88 with smbios imacpro 1,1

I have followed the section E.10 point by point and the second time once it has been changed in the cpu section of clover type in unknown, it still does not appear in this Mac.

Yeah I did that... on my system for some reason setting the system type to iMacPro causes me unable to get pst optiofix - any version

have you tried aptiomemoryfix? if so have you tried calculating a slide value in clover with aptiofix3 (or for a quick test, try slide=0)

3.) Run the following terminal commands:

Code (Text):
sudo codesign -f -s - ~/Desktop/AppleSystemInfo.strings

Code (Text):
sudo cp ~/Desktop/AppleSystemInfo.strings /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppleSystemInfo.framework/Versions/A/Resources/English.lproj/

and reboot your system. ---Don´t forget to reboot at this time---

and then open Clover and type "Unknown"

and reboot your system.

Yeah tried all that.. it is as simple as if I use my normal imac17,1 config.plist which works. And just change the system type to iMacPro... then the issue happens

It's fine - thanks for helping.

There is an issue with my system - that doesn't follow @kgp 's flawless guide. Hope someone may have an answer :)

Thanks

:::EDIT ... just incase I am useless, can you send me your working PlatformSupport.plist .. I used xcode & added the board.

Interestingly it is failing after Optio (any of them).
