I think that you might not have gotten the new AHCI drivers from AUtoUpdate just yet. Try and search in Windows Update and then do reboot if necessary.

If not found, try and google for Samsung AHCI windows drivers.

Tinker with it, I cannot help you with this since I don't have Windows installed myself..

Hey Dronefriend,

Long time, hope you had good holidays.

I'm hoping you can help direct me in the right direction. I think I'm messing up with the config.plist file. I tried to use the one in the clover folder that you uploaded. I also tried to use the one on rehabman's github. "config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist" and I renamed it to config.plist.

I turned on verbose to see what is going on. When I'm using the config file form rehab man, the installer keeps rebooting, and in verbose, it stops at "++++++++++++++++++++". When I use yours, it shows this.

Hey dronefriend,

I just bought a Ideapad 710s-13ISK (Skylake) and I am wondering how I choose the right WIFI module. I just learnend that Lenovo does some kind of whitelisting of these cards so any help here would be gladly appreciated since I don't wanna buy dozens of wrong cards until I'm lucky ;)

Cheers

You'd use the same wifi module I believe, BCM94352Z. Just make sure it's for the lenovo.

Sorry about that! Really late at night and it was just before going to bed so that completely slipped my mind. I'm attaching the EFI folder, without the theme folder. The config.plist file in this zipfile is the one that was provided by dronefriend. Also, I realise this is in the El Capitan guides forum, but I'm installing High Sierra. But dronefriend was helping me with that. I can make a completely new post in the High Sierra forums if need be. My plan was to write a guide for this laptop in the High Sierra forums once I had everything up and running.

Your EFI/Clover is not per guide (config.plist is not from my guide either).
See guide:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Make sure you read carefully the part regarding DVMT-prealloc.

Hey RehabMan,

I read the guide booting os x installer with clover: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Following that guide, I read the Alternative to minStolensize patch guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...lensize-patch-with-32mb-dvmt-prealloc.221506/

I downloaded config_HD615_620_630_640_650.plist from https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config as was suggested (renamed and all). From what I can tell, framebuffer patch was already applied to this config file.

Because the "booting os x with clover" guide mentions that for 10.12.5 and HD620, you need to use lilu and intelgraphicfixup, I wasn't sure if was supposed to use those kexts.

I did the following:
  1. I tried booting os x installer without the lilu and intelgraphicfixup kexts. I'm attaching the zipped EFI folder and I've named it "EFI without Lilu".
  2. I tried booting os x installer with lilu and intelgraphicfixup kexts. I'm attaching the zipped EFI folder and it's just called "EFI".

The following happens regardless of what I do. The attached picture is the last thing I see before my computer reboots.

I'm sorry, I forgot to take the themes folder out of the EFI without Lilu zip.

Make sure you're booting 10.12.6.
Previous versions of Sierra require Skylake spoof.

I wonder, because you're posting in the El Capitan (10.11.x) forum, but using a plist that can only be used on 10.12.6 or 10.13.x.

Hey dronefriend , today I read your guide and it does not seem like a very simple journey. Are you still satisfied with your installation, the system is stable? what types of problems does it present?

regards!
