Yoga 720 try out High Sierra (issues)

Thanks for the info on dual booting. I'm working the High Sierra installation off an external drive for now. I'll load onto the internal once I'm further along. I don't want to stray too far off topic here but I'm hung on disabling the nvidia graphics. I can't boot with switchable graphics enabled without getting a gIoScreenLockState error. I'm still working through it and will post troubleshooting files when I hit the wall. Also, do you know of any way to disable TPM via DSDT edits. I can't use the fingerprint sensor in win10 without it. I've tried removing references to it in my DSDt but it doesn't work. TheFireDragon has worked out a patch for the frame buffer listed in another post...I'm working on cpupm as well

Dual boot up and working. Copied clover folder to the root of the drive and Mac drives didn't show up. Placed folder inside the EFI folder and all is working. PM working, next is Discrete graphics disable. Is anyone able to boot with switchable graphics enabled yet?

I'm unable to boot with switchable graphics enabled. I'm attaching requested clover folder and working DSDT and SSDT files. I've Also included patchmatic output, Ioreg, and terminal output from when booting with switchable disabled, not sure if needed or not. Main issue isgioscreenlockstate 3 error when I try to boot with switchable enabled.
I'm posting here instead of the main thread since this thread is for the Yoga. I can repost to the main thread if you'd like.

Has anyone gotten the trackpad to work for the 13" version of the yoga 720? I tried using the I2C kext posted here but as soon as I inject that, the installation USB reboots on the Mac logo

Read these two guides:

you need to patch your dsdt correctly before you install the voodooi2c kext.
Theres a alternativ build named "patch-1" or something like this.
This one fixes that the mouse is moving around the screen when you leave with the finger the trackpad.

Only Basics are working on yoga 13"

Thank you!

For anyone out there using the yoga 13", I'll include my clover folder.

I'm missing small things like the brightness up/down buttons, but it's serviceable indeed!

I am able to boot with switchable graphics enabled. I'm not sure how or why though. They even show up under system information. From what I understand though, even if i got the nvidia drivers I wouldn't be able to use it. So I plan on disabling it through dsdt /ssdt to save power. Plus, I'd rather use photoshop/premier/blender in windows anyway with better touch screen support and stylus support. I did a little reading about it and the guide said to look for ini and _off. I couldn't find ini, and I only found 1 ssdt with _off in it and it looked like it had to do with fans. I still need to do more research and reading though. Here's my config and other files if you think they might help.

I have been stuck with an external monitor issue. I'm using the owc thunderbolt 3 dock. All the ports on it seem to work fine, but when I plug a monitor in through mini displayport my laptop screen goes blank while the monitor comes on and works. I can't seem to get both the laptop screen and LG monitor working at the same time. Although it shows up in ioreg and display system prefs. It appears to be connected, but the screen is blank. I've gotten the reverse where the laptop screen comes on but then the LG monitor is blank as well. It seems with thunderbolt 3 you have to reboot a few times and sometimes hotplug to get it to show up. Rehabman said it was an EDID issue, but I tried patching my EDID in just about every way I could think of or was recommended and still have the same problem.

My other setup is a desktop hackintosh with a touch screen monitor and 4k tv monitor. I use the touch screen for audio mixing mostly. I really want to make a smaller portable version of that to replace my 2009 macbook pro and 2008 imac.

Also just curious, what patch is everyone using for the battery for the yoga 720 15 inch? I used rehabman's patch for the Lonovo Y 580. It seems to have worked. Although I have noticed a slightly different battery percentage in windows than OSX.
