High Sierra doesn't seem to be finding the card with the driver installed. Starting to think I need to go back to Sierra. I'll get Boot Camp setup first on the hopes that someone will come to my rescue in the next several minutes. Otherwise, it's time to start up Internet Recovery. :(

Okay, I'm rocking Sierra now and the 1080 is working just fine. I'll keep an eye on you guys and hopefully hear when this gets sorted out for High Sierra!

Anyone know why we get the following error when installing teh driver ?

Some people will say this error means nothing and to just continue. If you want to install without this error, edit your config.plist so CSRActive Config is set to 0x0. Reboot with that. Then install the web drivers. You'll get a pop up message from gatekeeper, allow the extension. The driver install will finish without error but don't reboot. Edit your config.plist putting CSRActive config back to whatever it was before, then reboot.

EDIT

The error happens if SIP is disabled or partially disabled while installing the web driver. The steps listed above are just the long way of saying install the driver while SIP is enabled.

The simple answer is if you rely on your 10xx card, do not update to 10.13.1 until nvidia releases web drivers that support 10.13.1.

The longer answer is, if you are brave, you can edit /Library/Extensions/NVDAStartupWeb.kext/Contents/Info.plist, find the version (e.g. <string>17A405</string> if you're on supplemental) and change the text to the NEW (10.13.1) version (<string>17B48</string>) PRIOR to updating to 10.13.1. You'll also need to manually rebuild kextcache after changing the file.

For example
$ sudo vi /Library/Extensions/NVDAStartupWeb.kext/Contents/Info.plist
(change version string, save and quit)
$ sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

I haven't done this personally but I've done stuff very similar. YMMV.

I've see same solution and fix on macOS 10.13.1 Update's post and work! Thanks
