Erased my SSD and reinstalled 10.13 from scratch by following exactly the guide : it solved my sound issue and everything is working on my HP EliteBook 840 G3.

Thanks Rehabman ! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Must be in your profile or signature as per FAQ.
And you forgot to press F2 (misc/preboot.log is missing).
And you forgot to press F4 (ACPI/origin files are missing).

No idea without proper "Problem Reporting" files.

sorry. yes I forgot F2 and F4

sorry. yes I forgot F2 and F4

The various Terminal outputs are missing.
Note: Your problem likely has to do with 1600x900
(macOS/OS X has had issues with HD3000 and 1600x900 displays for some reason).
It is probably EDID related or some patch needed to the framebuffer.
You might do some research on it. If you find a solution, post here.

You verified that the other laptop has exactly the same screen (eg. check vendor/product id), same BIOS version, same EDID, same BIOS settings, etc?

Hi, first I would like to thank you for your contribution to hackintosh laptop community.

I've successfully installed 10.13 APFS on my HP EliteBook 840 g1, almost everything works great, except garbled boot when using native UEFI but is not so important.
But need help at patching HD4400 frame buffer, because display ports stop working when I put laptop on HP Ultraslim docking station.

On docking station USB ports, VGA port and ethernet are working ok. Laptop display port works ok until I plugin docking station, then internal screen dims (like normaly when you connect external display) but there is no signal on external display, also no displays external are shown in display settings perfpanel. Display ports on docking station also don't work.

Any advice on framebuffer patching would be appreciated.

Hi Rehabman sorry for wrong post before here

I Attached problem reporting here..
thank you

Your drivers64UEFI is not per guide (OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi is recommended over OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi, why HFSPlus.efi *and* HFSPlus-64.efi?)
And neither is Clover/kexts (why do you expect to boot the installer without FakeSMC.kext?)

MacBookPro11,4 is not what is recommended in the guide.
Use MacBookPro11,1 or MacBookAir6,2.

ig-platform-id 0x04260000 has 0105 (DP), 0204 (HDMI), and a VGA connector.
First you need to determine which of 0105 or 0204 are being used for the laptop external connector (DP?).
Then try patching the one not used as 0306 (0306 is missing from this ig-platform-id, so it idea would be to swap it into an unused connector).

I started preparing for the upgrade from Sierra to High Sierra by updating to latest version from probook repo and installing latest version of Clover (RehabMan build). I also put apfs.efi in CLOVER/drivers64UEFI (i have since removed it). I downloaded the installer and ran the command that bootsraps the installer but doesn't enable apfs conversion (don't recall exact command, but I have a new partition for installing High Sierra now - but I have not tried to boot it yet ).

In all of this I noticed 2 things:
1) lost audio on internal speakers - all controls are present but no audio, USB headphones work fine
2) first boot after copy of apfs.efi to CLOVER the mouse doesn't work, power cycle fixes it. Same thing happens when first removing it from CLOVER.

ATM I would like to get my audio working again before trying to upgrade to High Sierra because I am still trying to figure out correct way to handle the NVME stuff.

FWIW: I tried updating repo again this morning and then only difference between my config and latest in repo is that the latest disables TRIM support for non Apple SSD.

Edit: Forgot this is 850 G3
Laptop#0: HP EliteBook 850 G3 V1H16UT, i5-6200U Skylake, HD520 1920x1080, Bios 01.16, BCM943602BAED
