Hey guys
Tried to update directly via the app store to High Sierra, had done all the prep such as backing up my current installation of Sierra and placing the apfs.efi in my efi as well as updating to the latest clover build.

However when I restart the computer to install High Sierra the installation option doesn't appear within Clover. Ive tried multiple suggested things such as mounting the efi partition and reinstalling clover but to no avail. Ive tried creating a USB installation of High Sierra but I am unable to boot from that so would rather update directly via the appstore.

Ive attached my EFI and other necessary files for problem reporting, if someone could provide assistance that would be great.

Prepare USB according to the guide:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

(kitchen sink approach to drivers64UEFI not a good idea)

Not sure what you mean by kitchen sink approach, dragging and dropping into the EFI you mean?

I mean: unnecessary/excessive files in drivers64UEFI.

Is there nothing that can be done for the installation not showing up in clover?

Probably due to incorrect config.plist settings or unnecessary *.efi in drivers64UEFI.
Hence the suggestion to prepare a USB as per guide.

Ah I see what you mean now, I’ve managed to get the USB to boot and run the Sierra installer but after the 2 minute progress bar it ends up restarting and nothing happens when I boot back into Mac OS via clover

The installation process is multi-stage. You must boot the "Install macOS from..." target until it goes away.

I knew that but it is only showing it from the USB, every time I select install macOS from the usb I only ever get the option for install or upgrade, not to continue my previous installation that I did via this option previously

Start over.

Start over.

Tried it again several time same results, I think ive realised that the installer actually crashes as soon as the progress bar finishes, there is no this mac will now restart. Anything else you think i can do then rehab? I remade the installation usb using your directions but still the same result

You're booting the installer? Or something else?
