Dear hackintosh community, I am a noOb in these things, but I installed Mac OS sierra today.

Unfortunately I could Not install the network driver via multibeast. What do i wrong? After rebooting i still do Not get a connection to the internet. What can i do?

Motherboard: GA-P55Ud3 rev: 2.0 /// LAN: RTL8111 /// USB: NEC /// Sound: ALC 892 /// Chip: 2,93 GHz Intel Core i7 /// Graphic Card: NVidia GeForce GTX 760 /// Memory: DDR 3 1333 MHz 16GB /// OsX: Sierra 10.12.16

What can i do?
Try this manual installation procedure :

Remove any previous failed attempts from /Library/Extensions and /System/Library/Extensions.

Open Finder and browse to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ then delete these two files :
  • NetworkInterfaces.plist
  • preferences.plist

Download the kext and put it on your desktop.
Download and run KextBeast selecting /Library/Extensions as the location.

In Terminal :
Code:
sudo kextcache -i /
Press return, type your password (it will not show on screen), press return again and when the command has completed restart.

Same Problem, didn't work.
I have my Hackintosh on german, where should I find /Library/Extensions and /System/../.. I did not find any files since I just installed Sierra

Found it with the "Go-to" function, did all again.
Now it still does not work and when in network-settings it does not show the ethernet at all (it did before), shall I "install" it wiht MultiBeast again?

You have a different motherboard from the one in the first post, perhaps you have a different Ethernet interface that requires a different kext.

The only thing about LAN i found at the mobo's manual is "Realtek GbE LAN chip" and MultiBeast just gave me three versions of Realtek RTL8111 to choose from.

I have a similar issue with Ethernet not working. I have an Asus h170 pro motherboard with RTL8111h network adapter and most of the time the internet does not work. When I check network preferences the ethernet status toggles between the cable not connected and "no internet" I booted into Windows 10 first after a cold boot then back into macOS and the ethernet changed to connected. I was even able to access the Appstore and log in so I know the multibeast kext works but I don't know why the ethernet adapter stops working. If I cold boot into macOS first and then Windows the ethernet adapter stops working on Windows too. I then have to shut down the machine and turn it on again (cold boot) before ethernet works in Windows. Hopefully some of this info can help towards fixing the issue.

I am running macOS Sierra 10.12.6, i7 7700 CPU, and an NVidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti.

I really hope I'm using the word "cold boot" right.

This worked for me. Also using Asus h170 pro mobo.
Could you please share your motherboard bios settings with me? I'd like to double check mine. Also, what bios update do you have installed? I'm currently on whatever the latest version is via internet update. Thanks for the confirmation that your motherboard can be hackintoshed. If you followed a guide could you share the link with me too?
