X58 and OS X El Capitan? (X58A-UD3r)

I have a gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r and i7-950 build with GTX 550Ti, has anyone tried a fresh installation with macOS Sierra? any GUIDE out there?

I hope it's okay to cross-post here, both El Capitan and Sierra are stuck for me at 12X 190 Baseclock = 2.28GHz vs. 4.37GHz in Win10. I've tried with or without Tonymac DSDT for my mobo/BIOS (EX58-UD5 / F13) with the same results.

I'm especially interested in users with Xeons in a Gigabyte X58 mono. I have an x5675.

Any ideas? I've never used a SSDT so not sure what to do.

Thanks in advance any help you can give.

I could never get sound to work until I plugged in an Audioengine D1 DAC via USB, which immediately showed up in Sound and worked without any drivers etc. (Any USB DAC may work?) Used https://www.tonymacx86.com/resources/el-capitan-post-install-tools.294/ instead of MultiBeast.

anyone using x5650 and clover with their gigabyte x58 setup? Can you please share your DSDT and config.plist?

I bought an L5640 but my setup won't boot at all using the existing OS X boot disk or an OS X USB installer disk.

just wanna make sure the CPU is compatible.

2. Clover Legacy Boot Mode must be used
3. USB 2.0 port must be used- try different ones
4. Standard Legacy Boot Mode UniBeast ACPI fixes: FixHPET FixDTGP
5. Additional ACPI fixes: FixDarwin FixIPIC AddMCHC FixUSB

After these changes, it booted to OS X El Capitan USB installer! Thanks to everyone who's posted results here so far.

It ALMOST worked for me! Still get a ACPI-KP on my Z400. I have tried a gazillion methods, but always ACPI or IOKit-trouble (USBUHC). Any hints for Z400 from Z400 specialists are welcome! (And YES! Z400 has a X58 chipset!)

I have an X8DTH-6 and I am stuck in the boot process. Can you post a little more information about your setup? Would be very helpful. I am using colver to and the clover configurator. but up to now... no success

Please follow the Rules and enter your hardware into your profile and/or create a sig.
With a dual CPU board, try installing with boot-arg cpus=1

Hi,
Sorry to pop this thread up. I have installed El Captain few days ago. Install it by Unibeast with Multibeast 8. Most of things work well except audio.
My mobo is X58A-UD3R rev1 F6.

I had read through all posts in this thread and am not sure if anyone get onboard audio work on rev1. Most cases I found are for rev2 FF/FH.

Tried solution here with Multibeast 8 but still no go: https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC

I cleared below items before testing every solution :
