[Guide] HP Envy Haswell series J/K/Q/N using Clover UEFI (10.11)

HI, I have an HP envy 17-3270nr. i had a good working hackintosh build working on it and I was offered an I7 extreme processor that would install in the laptop. After I installed this it broke the build. I reinstalled hackintosh and now it is working but only when booted in safe mode.

Attached is my config.php and DSDT.aml

Can anyone help me figure out how to get this to boot without safe mode? I will also attach a picture of were it fails in boot

processor model is a I7-extreme- will find exact model aswell

Hey again RehabMan thanks for reply. Do you anticipate there being significant changes to this guide for new macOS High Sierra?

What about the new APFS? Is there anything special about it in terms of Hackintosh?

Hard to anticipate anything when it is not done.
I never try to predict the future.
 
Hi,
I have a lenovo t440p professional laptop. can i make it hacintosh.
Processor: 4th gen intel i7 4700mq
8 series mainboard
intel HD4600 graphic
1TB hdd WD5400rpm
8GB RAM
14" HD Display
Intel wireless-N7260 (any kexts/patch available to fix intel wifi because you told about broadcom adapter)

it's a tough job here in INDIA because people know very less about MAC so i need help.

Off-topic. This thread is only for the laptops listed in post #1 and implied by the thread title.
 
I am totally newbie to mac world and have been windows user all my life. Just discovered recently that osx can be installed on windows machine, discovery was really exciting news pushed the trigger for installing Sierra on my laptop.

Followed guide for installing os x sierra on my HP ENVY 17-j127cl 17.3.

Took me some time to figure out booting and installation process etc. Post installation I did managed to make sound working. Tired all possible reading for making battery status work, nothing seems to be working for me on that need help i have applied patches with Rehabman battery etc but still battery status is not shown.

Please guide me where to start. As a newbie, please help with baby steps.

Specification for the laptop is as:

Intel Core i7-4712HQ
16 GB
1 Tb HDD
Intel 4600

Note: Current battery on the laptop is purchase from amazon and is not the one which came originally with laptop.

The guide does not call for installing VoodooBattery.kext. Remove.
ACPI/patched content is wrong.
Read post #1. Follow exactly as written.

In order to make the battery status work I tried googling and following instructions here and there. VoodooBattery.kext was part of that.
1. For removing it should I delete VoodooBattery.kext from clover folder or is there any command which I need to execute ?

I will re apply post installation steps from post 1 and will let you know how it went.
