There is a 10.12.6 Beta out. So, yes, there will be a 10.12.6 which, more than likely, will support Kaby Lake.
Since the new Macbook features HD Graphics 615 I hope that the new driver will work with HD Graphics 610 too.

I believe there will be a 10.12.6. Its likely too long to go without an Apple update between now and when High Sierra is released.

Thanks for the great answers! Very helpful. Faking the ID seems to be a bit too much hassle for me I think I will stay with Sklyake i6700 (anyway I read that it is not much slower than the i7700) Thanks a lot!!!

There is an apfs.efi driver in 10.12 but it doesn't seem to work with EFI shell or Clover, and it isn't open source. There is a list of free open source UEFI filesystem drivers here.

Maybe when Apple adds APFS support to Apple firmware rather than having boot.efi load it in is probably around the time when it might get bootable directly from Clover.

Edit: Looks like Apple have already added firmware support. Google 'firmware apfs.efi jump start driver'
Very good Vulgo, you might want to watch this: https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2016/701/
you need Safari or Edge the crap app.

Time machine hard links, ahem. I still can't get an APFS volume readable by native firmware. Apparently APFS Jump Start loads apfs.efi from the root drive but nothing seems to be happening here on HFS+ installation 10.12. Am optimistic that replacing all HFS+ volumes with APFS will be happening on my hack when 10.13 gets a proper release though. Maybe by that time there will be Linux support as well...

Haha I couldn't wait so I extracted the iGPU drivers from the iMac 2017 10.12.5 update for my Kabylake iGPU. Now my iGPU works natively without fakeIDs . The best part is that Metal is now working properly, some applications that depend on it no longer hang my iGPU. The HDMI audio patches are still working by the way. The IntelGraphicsFixup kext needs to be updated for Kabylake

Thank you! hfsPlus_x64.efi and ntfs_x64.efi and zfs_x64.efi works fine with Clover instead of old HFSPlus-64.efi and NTFS-64.efi.
