ASUS Geforce GTX Strix 1080 Ti OC

Has anyone got this card to work? I didn't get any issues during install and all looks good but I can't get it to load the Nvidia drivers, it keeps loading the native OS X drivers even after I change them. I have followed steps in problem #6 in the guide thread but its still not working. Anyone else with the Asus Strix 1080 Ti card that got this to work?

Any news? Maybe a systems defintion thing? I installed Pascal drivers, added the nvidia web driver bootflag thingy to my config.plist. Am receiving my card tomorrow. Hope it all works!

Check that you are not injecting nVidia or AMD. You must have no graphics injection.

We dont have the same card. yours is a 1050 the one in this thread is the 1080 Strix Ti OC. I have done the

reinstalled and select "EmuVariableUefi-64".

I have a ASUS GeForce 1080 Strix, and I have the same problem. I also use a Z170 board of some kind, so I think we are in the same boat. I'm thinking if I contribute what I have, it might solve the OP's problem.

• Nvidia web driver 378~ is installed and up-to-date.
• Boot - None of the arguments are enabled or used (sometimes I just use -v at the Clover screen though).
• System Parameters - Should be set up correctly in Clover config aka InjectKexts=Yes, InjectSystemID=Yes, NvidiaWeb=Yes.
  
• Kernel / Kext Patches - The only relevant one there is the AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy, since I'm using a 17,1 profile.
• I've also reinstalled Clover to the EFI with EmuVariableUefi and the RC scripts mentioned up to the end of Problem #6.

I'll attach my EFI/CLOVER in case it helps.

A question for the OP: Do you also have "Graphics - Display 8 MB" in Apple -> About this Mac? I have this happening to me right now.

UPDATE:
I think I solved my problems, but I'm not sure what changes fixed what. I think the only changes I made were removing the Kernel / Kext patch for AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy because that only fixes the 6,1 profile, put the Lilu and NvidiaGraphicsFixup kexts into EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other, and disabled CSM in my BIOS. I hope this information helps.

It'll be a pain to dance between this and Windows 7, but I gotta do what I gotta do.

When Ithe didn't work, we you getting a code 43 too? I'm pulling my hair on this. I'll look up what improved clover is. Lol
