where is the clover folder? i can't find it... i only have one partition and that is USB (attached pic) I've attached all i see in the verbose...
also btw its running an amd xfx hd6870. do i have to do anything for that? will the card work? I've heard it works with some kext... i do have an nvidia gt 610 asus silent edition that i can put in it for the install, but i can't keep it in there as it is needed somewhere else....
You can use a program like Clover Configurator of EFI mounter v3 to mount the EFI partition of the USB drive, then you will see the Clover folder.

You also need to disable the Nvidia card via Clover with boot arguments, so to install the Nvidia card is nosense.
Unplug your AMD card or disable the card in the BIOS, when mac OS is installed you can set in up.

Yes, you´re right, then you need to choose a SMBIOS that supports AMD cards, otherwise the system won´t boot.

so what is that and how do i do it? also its an old card so it needs some amd 6000 series kext or something according to my research. and also my previous post i have uploaded the clover zip.

I haven´t experience with AMD Radeon cards and the right SMBIOS for the card.
Maybe you can open a seprate thread in the Graphics section: https://www.tonymacx86.com/forums/graphics.13/ and ask for advice.
When you fixed this problem you come back to this thread.

Thanks I'll do that, but wouldn't it be easier for the installation at least to use the nvidia card? And would it be easier just to buy the cheapest graphics card that exists and is compatible?

im pretty sure the cheapest graphics card that works is the gt710 from nvidia... its only £30... i can get that for the actual build... what about the 610? i have that in another computer, will it work for installation atleast?

Yes, but keep in mind that Nvidia dropped the support of some graphics card on sierra, so the installation is could be possible, but the full power and resolution isn´t possible on Sierra.

Do some research for the right card that works and also supported on Sierra.

the gt710 is supported out of the box without any drivers or anything... but the 610 doesnt work on sierra... it only works with nv_disable=1

so technically the gt610 should work for installation... and then i need another card for the real deal... either the gt710 or i could try and get the amd card to work...

the AMD Radeon HD 6870 works OOB and needs nothing special to setup however it's not the best option for a long term setup since it's like a five to six year old card use iMac 14,1 or iMac14,2 and should be fine. Also IVY Bridge systems have issues with power management. I have personally installed on that exact motherboard. You will need to tick the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement Patch in clover. Or you'll be faced with a kernel panic on every boot.

Thanks. I thought it needed some kext? And why isn't it the best idea? You think it will stop working in an update?
