Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA [Guide]

1. You are saying that ALC1150 is not working alongside HDMI or by itself?
2. Because I have it working, but not with HDMI, not a problem since I want to use HDMI audio primarily, my question remains the same for HDMI audio with DP to HDMI cable if I buy one to connect monitor with it, and AVR with HDMI to HDMI cable?
Will that combo work for both to be detected? Since it is not detecting my monitor if I connect it with DVI to HDMI, AVR is detected on HDMI port...

edit:

installing that file now did not see when you posted

1. ALC1150 is working fine for me, by itself, just not with HDMI combo
2. I just told you in description that I have audio from HDMI port :D, something is messed somewhere
3. config.plist, how to create new one which is good?

Sorry if I am bugging you, I am a bit new to this all. But thanks for all

1. Which ssdt that I did not understand from that link you gave me?
2. Messed up in Nvidia drivers or god knows where, but I have audio from HDMI told you how, insane combination but it works, until I get DP cable
3. I did not do anything to it, just used text edit to remove HSDA to HDEF array

@toleda

nevermind, got it, figured it out, now I have Realtek ALC1150 sound working alongside HDMI audio from HDMI port on Nvidia card... Investigate that method which I mentioned, it seems as card forces first Dvi port then DP port then HDMI port for audio initialization, it needs to have 2 output connected for it to register HDMI sound on HDMI port somehow

Thank you for all!

Only thing you troubled me is that one with config.plist, everything works fine

thanks for the tip, didn't know that
@toleda

any way to fix it now?

Deleted "HDAS to HDEF command has to be deleted for HDMI audio", did not install ssdt.
See Post #1, Realtek ALC AppleHDA
Unsupported/Non-working Realtek ALC AppleHDA
  1. 100 Series/Intel High Definition Audio
Install the linked ssdt.

Am I understanding this right? HDAS to HDEF patch needs to be removed from config.plist in order for audio over DP to work with your SSDT?

Would that also mean no fix_hda either?

First of all I would like to thank toleda for the script. At first I thought that the script needed to be updated but after weeks of no sound I figured I would give something else a shot.

There are 3 DisplayPorts and 1 HDMI on my GTX 1080. The DisplayPort closest to the HDMI was not giving me sound but the one furthest to the left detected my display immediately.

Just putting it out there that the script is not at fault. Try a different port and for me personally, I deleted the aml file from EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched.

Thank you toleda.

This worked on my 1080.

After I ran toleda's script rebooted and ensured that my monitor was plugged into the DP furthest away from the HDMI port and now audio works great via Displayport.

Thx for the tip.
