Hello
I have a gtx 1060 6gb but the drivers are not gonna go out soon. So I would buy another card to use on Mac OS.
But I don't know which one. I just need it to drive the desktop.

I am using the Intel HD 530 and I can get 2160p 60hz perfectly. But talking about HiDPI, I have a big problem. I can only get 1080p HiDPI, and it's way too big. Instead native 2160p is too small on 27" monitor. Because of limited virtual resolution it can push I think. To have 1440p HiDPI or 1600/1800, I need to push double the virtual resolution, so 1440p = 2880p, 1600>3200, 1800

So I need a card that can drive not only 2160p 60hz, but also some HiDPI resolutions. With less hassle as possible.

Any Kepler-based GPU (at least the bigger ones with GK104 or GK110) should work as well. They also won't need any drivers, so that's pretty much the "most OOB" GPU you could get.

You won't find them new though.
I now they will work. But are they capable olf HiDPI resolutions?

GeForce GT 740 should work too for 4k and hidpi, right?
and the 740 does not require any driver ( as i read in "building a customac page)

You won't get 4K @60Hz only 30Hz with a 740. Has no DP output.

I would go with a 950/960 unless you need to save some money in with case the 750Ti would be fine - avoid getting an Asus model as the BIOS on these cards needs to be flashed to get them to work properly in MacOS.

The older GTX 760 will do what you want if you use a DisplayPort connection - these should be quite cheap on eBay now and you do not need to use the additional nvidia drivers - you can if you wish though.

Thank you, gtx 760 seems to have display port and retail very cheap, and it surely can handle 2160p. I don't know for sure about HiDPI, but I think that it can.

The 750ti doesn't have Display Port so it's a no.

I am waiting for someone confirming hidpi on 760, and I will buy it asap :D
