Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA [Guide]

Great guide, just set it up on my new hackintosh system, far easier than it was a few years ago. My setup for anyone interested: OS Sierra on i74790k, NV GTX 780 and B85-Pro Gamer. One thing that kinda tripped me up and would be nice to add to the guide for any others is once you install the HDMI audio (at least the nvidia part of it) it removes (maybe disables but however you wanna put it) the previous audio kexts so you need to reinstall them. For myself that was just running through multibeast with 1150 selected but I appreciate for others that could be a lot harder. Hope this helps somebody, now to enjoy OS sierra.

More info?

HDMI audio is enabled correctly. Problem with AMD9500Controller.kext; expect a fix when the macbookpro13 specific code merges with Sierra GM.

Ok. Thanks for your help and the quick responses. Sorry if I was a bit lame in getting all the required info to you. Any idea how long it might be before the problem with AMD9500Controller.kext will get sorted? Or does it just depend on when apple update it? Is there anything I could do in the meantime?

Cheers.

I don't currently have the means to test it. But would it be probable that the audio would would though the DP?

Not sure if you're interested or have already tested. But I just updated my MBP to 10.12.2 beta 5 and copied the AMD9500Controller.kext onto my hack, fixed permissions and rebooted. The result, black screen on PEG. I then tried copying AMDRadeonX4100.kext and AppleHDA.kext also, but same result. Is that to say that it hasn't been fix as of the forthcoming update or am I missing something else?

Why? Bad idea.
Boot the backup.

Just thought I'd experiment to see if it worked. No harm done. Restored and all is well. There was nothing clever about it, just thought it was worth a shot. I'll use a bluetooth speaker for the mean time and wait patiently.

hi toleda,
as per your guide I tried to enable HDMI audio, after install your script I was enabled my onboard audio but unfortunetly I didn't enable my AMD (7870) HDMI audio on my Samsung tv, please help to figure out what did I make mistake, attached some files to get a better idea, BTW I am using audio_cloverHDMI-120_v1.0d script to enable the HDMI audio and running OS X version 10.12.1. HDMI audio working well when i uncheck "inject ATI" on clover configarator
looking to your help...
with kind regards
hashel
