trying to understand how actually and what to do
See Post #1981 for method and 7750 example.
graphics card: number of physical HDMI and DP connectors?
radeon_bios_ decode: physical connectors connector sense_id?
ati-personality: framebuffer connectors sense_id?

Objective: edit HDMI and DP (if available) framebuffer connector sense_id to the same as physical connector sense_id
Use the 7750 example to layout the 7870 case.

I am currently using only HDMI port and Hamachi FB (don't know is it right or wrong but it's giving me same result as Futomaki), I want to make HDMI as my primary display
here is the info:

Connector configuration:
Personality: Hamachi
ConnectorInfo count in decimal: 4
Disk offset in decimal 1765536

as per

Connector Type HDMI 0 × 00000800 = 00 08 00 00
didn't understand how to find port
I am very sorry for that, you are trying to guide me but didn't figure out the correct one as per your guide

2nd request, what connectors on the graphics card?
The link has dramatically more information than needed for your solution.
redsock_bios_decoder is not required
The connectors are noted in the link:
0×0400 : DisplayPort
0×0800 : HDMI

Suggest Futomaki rather than Himachi
As in the 7750 example, make a text file with ati-radeon decode output and the Futomaki frame buffer output and attach.

Hi Toleda and fellow hackintoshers...thanks for sharing your knowledge and taking a look!

Description of problem:
Nvidia HDMI audio works, Nvidia DP audio does not (not recognized by OS, option disappears when cable is switched)
Using active DP > HDMI 2.0 adapter to achieve 4k60 on Sierra

System specs:
10.12.1 (16B2555) / Asus Z170 Maximus VIII Hero / BIOS 2202 / 6700k / GTX 970

Procedure used:
audio_cloverHDMI-120_v1.0d.command

??
IOReg shows HDMI audio working on HDMI connector. HDMI connector is HDMI 2.0
DP > HDMI 2.0 adapter ? Why?

Great.
Analysis (framebuffer):
FutomakiVBIOS/sense_idframebuffer/sense_idedited connector
0x0DP/1DP/1OK
0x1HDMI/2DP/2HDM/2
0x2DVI/3DVI/6OK
0x3DVI/6HDMI/3DP/3
0x4DVI/6
0x5

Fix/edit framebuffer to match VBIOS (same as 7750 case study)
Make connector 0x1 HDMI: 00 08 00 00 04 02 00 00 00 01 04 00
Make connector 0x3 DP: 00 04 00 00 04 03 00 00 00 01 02 01

Reply with find/replace edits for 2 connectors.

DP > HDMI 2.0 adapter ? Why?

I use a 4k TV as a monitor. The goal is 4k resolution @ 60hz with audio.

HDMI = 1080p @ 60hz / 4k @ 30hz / working audio
DP > HDMI Adapter = 4k @ 60hz / no audio

The adapter has been verified working in other OSes with same hardware setup.
