config.plist is now loadable, however, KextsToPatch has been removed, why?
I removed it earlier. I wanted to get a fresh start so I removed the 3 HDA Kexts?
Uninstall Realtek ALC AppleHDA
  1. MultiBeast 8.0+, remove:
    1. S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext and install the native AppleHDA.kext
      1. or S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Resources/layout1.zml.zlib, layout2.zml.zlib, layout3.zml.zlib, Platforms.ml.zlib
    2. config.plist/.../KextsToPatch/AppleHDA (3x)
    3. L/E/realtekALC.kext
  2. cloverALC, remove:
    1. S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext and install the native AppleHDA.kext
      1. or S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Resources/layout1.zml.zlib, layout2.zml.zlib, layout3.zml.zlib, Platforms.zml.zlib
    2. config.plist/.../KextsToPatch/AppleHDA (3x)
    3. EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.xx or other/realtekALC.kext

Remove SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-2.aml and SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-3.aml
Attach IOReg and config.plist
Audio is working, what is the problem?

ssdt 2 and 3 removed.
audio is working in 2.0, i want to activate 5.1 multichannel.
i patched realtek driver in windows 10 and it works now in awesome dts with optical cable on av amp.
i would like to do the same in osx.

Audio is broken again after removing two internal HDDs to attempt to fix another issue. Neither of the drives removed were boot drives onto which I attempted to install an ssdt or an audio codec.

Hopefully relevant section of bootlog.log:
5:422 0:000 Inserting SSDT-HDEF+-1.aml from EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\patched ... Success

Hopefully relevant section of audio_codecdetect_v1.5command:
Valid audio codec, audio device and Audio ID; audio injection is working

Expected audio outputs are missing from Sound Preferences.

Thank you.

Hi @toleda wondering if you could help me fix my audio issue. I am not getting any audio devices in output. I tried the pikeralpha alc120 command as well as the HDAenabler kext 1 and both didn't work. Pikeralpha alc 120 which successfully installed AppleHDA1150.kext but it seems it never loaded. I don't see any audio devices in system profiler or any codecs in DPCI manager. I've attached all the necessary files below. I am running Sierra 10.12.1
I have a Gigabyte Z170N Gaming 5 Mobo with i7 6700k skylake, 16gb Crucial DDR4 Ram and F5 BIOS. Graphics Card is AMD RX 480.

not getting any audio devices in output.
Multiple audio install methods ensure audio failure. Remove all failed audio methods, see Post #1/Uninstall Realtek ALC AppleHDA

For fix, see Post #1/Unsupported/Non-working Realtek ALC AppleHDA
1. 100 Series

Select one audio method and install. Problem, attach new files.
