I've been struggling the past week or so trying to get Realtek1150 audio working. After digging around with IOJones, I made a discovery. I drilled down to HDEF@1B and looked around. I went a little further to AppleHDADriver. I compared this on my two drives. Drive 1 is my main drive with Sierra. However, the Realtek1150 shows no input or output devices. My second drive is a clean install to a clean disk via Unibeast / Multibeast. Audio works great.
When I select AppleHDADriver for each drive and compare them, the contents are very different.
So my questions is how do I replace the defective AppleHDADriver with the good one?
