No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hello! I need you help. I updated to Sierra from a fully functional El Capitan and everything works except audio.

1) No audio at all.
2) 10.12, gigabyte b75m-d3h, f15, e3-1225, Radeon HD6870
3) Backed up appleHDA and HDA enabler, tried toleda (says no codec installed), tried Multibeast and tried some appleALC patch, none of them work.
1) ALC887/888b
4) Attached
5) Attached
6) Yes, I see it
7) no
8) Don't know what to do
9) attached
10) attached
11) no
12) 1,2,3 attached

Please help!

Edit: Lol, I have clean installed El Capitan, ran Toleda's command and it detected my codec right away. Am I missing something for Sierra?

Not correct, use Audio ID: 1 (5 or 6 motherboard audio port)
See Post #1:
I. No Audio Output/Audio Input Devices Found
  1. OS X Version
    1. 10.12 and newer
      1. SIP
      2. CLOVER/config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes/NO (all or remove)
Hi Toleda, OK don't mean to be an idiot, but I understand that you are telling me to use Audio ID 1, but don't follow what you mean by the See Post 1 part?

Should i just re-run the cloverALC-120 script, and choose the right Audio ID (1), or do i need to do something else first to "reset" everything? Sorry for Stupid question if it is one.
Cheers.

Post #1 of this thread, scroll down.
Hate being such a nube on this - pretty sure in first attempts to set up I did something wrong, tried to follow (hope I chose the right options) instructions, but looks like nothing's seeing the audio on my mobo.

Hi, Toleda.

Problem Reporting
1. No audio output.
There are however audio output devices (line out, optical out and int.speakers) in System preferences.
(Mobo doen't have optical out, just 3 ports)
2. OSX 10.11.4, UEFI, Clover 2.3k r3423
Mobo MSI H170i Pro AC (ALC887), AMI BIOS 2.5 (latest)
Core i5-6500, Intel HD 530
3. cloverALC
Did not use Multibeast for audio.
I added manually fixes in Clover's config.plist: Devices/Audio/Inject=3 and "Rename HDAS to HDEF".
Then after restart I run audio_cloverALC-110_v1.0s10.command
I used AudioID=3 because I want to have HDMI audio also.

9. Strange that DPCIManager tells I have ALC888b, not 887
10.
12. No ssdt/dsdt

Audio is working.
Indeed, sorry for that, if I select "Internal speakers" as sound output in settings, I can hear sound from headphones connected to green jack.
I thought that "Line out" should work instead.
Use Audio ID: 2.
Reapplied audio_cloverALC-110 command with audio id = 2.
Two "Line outs" appeared in output devices instead of one.
Still can hear audio from "Internal speakers" only. That is how it should be?
Audio ID: 3 is for HD3000 and HD4000 HDMI audio.
Is there a way to make work HD530 HDMI audio?

realtekALC.kext missing, no EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12 folder
audio_cloverALC-120 output missing
Run cloverALC, attach new files.
Hi Toleda

I'm confused. When I mount my EFI partition, I see folder kexts/10.12 and realtekALC.kext is there, I have tried reinstalling your ALC120 patch many times, and had already checked to make sure the 10.12 folder was there. I attach a screenshot......

*edited to attach correct screenshot

*edited again to show Terminal Saved Output - This is the text I get when I run audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0b0.command
