[help] dell optiplex micro 7040 to hackintosh

OK, for some reason, some Skylake boards hang if they can't "get ownership" of USB devices (I'm not sure what that means, to be honest). If you set XHCI Handoff in your BIOS that should fix it, but if you can't do that then you can set FixOwnership in config.plist to fix it. So that may be why the USB setting in config.plist helped you make progress in post #8.

Then, you had a Bluetooth crash (in the screen shot in post #8), but in post #9 you said you got past it. What did you do to get past it? A number of people have had that problem and it would be great to have a solution to give them.

Finally, you said you completed the OS X install and then it rebooted but you get a black screen. At this point, you should still boot from the USB install drive because you haven't installed a new bootloader to the system drive yet. So when your machine starts up, use your BIOS hotkey to select a boot device. Select "UEFI:YourUSBDrive" to boot to. You should get a Clover menu. Then select "Boot Mac OS X from YourSystemDrive" to start up. You should get an Apple logo and progress bar and eventually (it takes longer than usual) the setup screens where you select your language and time zone and set up a login and all that. If you have problem booting here, please boot in verbose mode instead (space bar from the Clover menu) and post a photo of where it stops.

My mainboard has a BlueBooth. In the Post #8, the BlueBooth is disabled in my Bios setting. After it's enabled, the problem seems solved.

In post #9, with the "-v" mode, I actually faced the problem,
"
-DSMOS has arrived
-<Warning>: Service exited with abnormal code: 255.
"
Someone claims that the <warning> problem could be solved (http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-desktop-support/173872-service-exited-abnormal-code-255-a.html). However, in my clover, it show "Boot without injected kext" instead of "Boot with injected kext". It's weird. After I put the FakeSMC into the /S/L/E/ file, and boot with "-v" mode.
Same <Warning> appears, but, after 3-5 mins, I actual put the OSX into my SSD. After I reboot with the USB from the SSD and the process bar is completed. Then the black screen shows as in post #9.

Note that I use the Displayport linked to the screen. No VGA in my motherboard. Don't know whether it leads to the black screen.

Now I boot with from the recovery-mode of SSD(it shows in the clover).
The <Warning> is still there.

OK. Graphics still aren't starting. Please post your current config.plist for review.

The other post you referred to had a problem where FakeSMC wasn't loading, but that doesn't seem to be your problem. The line "DSMOS has arrived" in your screen shot shows that FakeSMC is loading. So I don't think the same solution is going to work for you. The reason why they have the option to boot with injected kexts and you have the option to boot without is probably that you have inject kexts set to Yes or Detect in config.plist (which is correct) and the other person had it set to No (which is usually not what you want, and would explain why their FakeSMC wasn't loading).

Note that I try the cases: Inject/Intel= false & true. Both gives the same <Warning> and both fails.

<key>Inject</key>
<dict>
<key>Intel</key>
<false/>
</dict>
<key>ig-platform-id</key>
<string>0x19120000</string>

Hi, ammulder. I install the OSX with boot parameter 'GraphicsEnabler=No'.

Currently, I used the multibeast to install the Clover boot in the Hackintosh.
I
have boot problem after finishing the install. I can't boot from "Macintosh HD" clover, it just make me reboot again. It shows:CPU panic(cpu 8 caller ****) **** " ****_suballoc failed "@/Library/Caches/****/zalloc.c:2284"
But I can boot from the install-USB clover.

what works in my OSX:
usb
bluetooth
keyboard
mouse
lan: Intel® i219-LM Ethernet LAN(with IntelMausiEthernet.kext)

not works:
wifi: wireless M.2 802.11ac
audio: RealTek ALC 3234

not full works:
GPU: HD 530 (it shows right in "About This Mac/Overview": Graphics intel HD Graphics 530 4 MB )

other question: Can I install the drive(kext-file) of not-workings' in the current OSX, i.e. HD 530 or I need to reinstall the OSX?

You need inject intel = true and the ig-platform-id set as it is in the last config.plist you posted to get the HD530 to work.

Please specify which WiFi card you have. If it's an Intel card, there are no drivers available. Many Broadcom cards have drivers. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

I've never heard of an ALC 3234. If you run DPCIManager, what does it show for the codec(s) on the first screen? You can just post a screen shot of that if you like.

In any case, you don't need to reinstall OS X to install drivers.

Is the HD 530 injected from the mac's info?
If not, can I set it?

Wifi: intel wireless M.2 802.11ac
audio:
Realtek: 0x10ec0255 (ALC 255, another name is from BIOS)

I'll say again:

You need inject intel = true and the ig-platform-id set as it is in the last config.plist you posted to get the HD530 to work.

That is, starting with the last config.plist you posted, set inject intel = true.

There are no OS X drivers for Intel WiFi at present.

I'm checking on the audio codec, but I haven't heard of that one before, so it might not work. You can try mounting your EFI partition and running toleda's cloverALC script and see if it recognizes the audio device.

Many thanks. CloverALC_script Can't apply to my case.

It seems that it is a old laptop audio (http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...ptop-realtek-alc3234-isnt-being-detected.html).

Detail in the post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/185320-help-realtek-alc-255-general-question-about-install.html

Hello osx01, did you successed to get working audio and ethernet on your optiplex ? and may be WiFi ?
If yes, please, how you done this ?
Thank you, I have Optiplex 7440, so very similar to your config.

Any more details on how you were able to get it to install?
I've got a 7040Micro that I'm trying to hackintosh and so far haven't been able to get to the installation process.

Thanks!
