[Guide] 10.11+ USB changes and solutions

Hi RehabMan,
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have two SSD, one with 10.10.05 where everything works fine. However in the second SSD I installed 10.11.04. The system always starts without KP and works stable with speedsteps, onboad sound and LAN, sleep and wake, Nvidia graphics on DP 4K, but... I have read, read and reread on this subject, and I still not have all USB ports running. Only work some 2.0 and some 3.0, but not all. The bluetooth and HIFI onboard do not work too and I think it may have to do with port settings. RehabMan if possible for you, can you take a look at zip i have attached and suggest me any changes or improvements in order to take all USBs to work please?
Thank you very much :)

Asus X-99 Pro USB 3.1, Intel I7 5820K, Asus GTX 960 STRIX DirectCU II OC 4GB GDDR5, 32GB G SKILL DDR4 3200...

Please read post #1, "Problem Reporting". The result will not be 24mb (usually 4-7mb).

Thanks for the warning and I apologize for my failure.
I think now is according to the rules. Can you take a look please?

It is a bad idea to rename XHCI to XH01. That makes it match Apple's name, which is exactly what you don't want. Rename to XHC instead (note ACPI represents all names as four characters with underscore padding, so XHC is actually XHC_).

And something is wrong with your EHCI#1 USB2 controller... drivers are not loading for it. May be some sort of ACPI power problem... I've seen it before with X99, but since I'm not familiar with these boards (no plans to get one), I'm not sure what the solution is.

But if your EHCI#1 controller is disabled, it is not going to help to route USB2 on XHCI to it (that's what FakePCIID_XHCIMux does).

There is evidence that the port limit patch is active. Be aware that using the port limit patch is not a long term solution, and instead should be used only to determine all active ports.

If you can stay within the 15-port limit, perhaps a better solution for you (unless you can get EHCI#1 working) is to keep all USB2 on XHCI (don't use FakePCIID_XHCIMux).

Thanks for the answer, I will try what you suggest and if not improve, I will continue to read and looking for solutions ...
Thanks again

Regarding the problem with EHC#1, you might try FixOwnership=true or check your BIOS settings for EHCI handoff.

Sir help me please. I can't solve a problem with usb in any way.
I have established USBInjectall.kext, renamed EHC1 and EHC2 into (EH01 and EH02 (XHC by default in DSDT)) in my DSDT, after that procedure my USB ports work, except USB3.0
My system has Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller — 1E2D and Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller — 1E26
When i have plugged in my usb3.0 device it works as usb2.0
Totally i have 8-ports in HUBN (EHC1), 6-ports in HUBN (EHC2) and 8-ports in (XHC).
Prompt me please, what i should to do? :(

My clean DSDT is: View attachment DSDT.zip

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

Sir I'm sorry for a carelessness.

My laptop is samsung NP300E5V-A06AE, in MAC OS my device is known as (MacBookAir5.2)
Code Name:Ivy Bridge
Name: Intel core i3
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3120M CPU @ 2.50GHz
Graphics: HD4000 1366x768
I'm using bootloader (Clover Legacy)
Full information about my laptop is here: View attachment DESKTOP-E8T93DS.txt

I will be very glad for the help in the solution of my problem!
