[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI (10.11)

Trackpad three finger support: You can configure three finger swipes in SysPrefs->Keyboard->Shortcuts. Instead of pressing keys for a given function, do the three finger swipe (up/down/left/right).

Does this still work? I tried changing the keyboard shortcuts with three finger swipes but all it does is align the screen to the top if swiped upwards or bottom if swiped downwards. Same for sideways. Cannot change the keyboard shortcuts to just three finger swipe. Works if I use swipe + command/ctrl/shift key.

Which trackpad is in your laptop? Which PS2 drivers are you using?

Assuming Synaptics and my VoodooPS2Controller.kext... You also must select the function you wish to assign before doing the swipe (eg. system must be ready for the keypress).

3. I want to install wifi, will this card work with my Y50 ?

It is probably blacklisted by the Lenovo BIOS. Mine just came in ordered mine and it doesn't work. There are 11 pieces still on Amazon sold by Electronic Store. Ships from China.

I'm not sure there is success using the Dell part in this thread. You should read it to find out...

In post #1 there is a specific Lenovo branded part recommended. You should read it.

I have the synaptics trackpad. I think the PS2 Drivers are from your script so must be VoodooDaemonPS2. I do select the function. For example, i was trying to change the mission control keyboard shortcut. Double click on it till it becomes editable. Then when I try to swipe three fingers, the windows aligns to the direction I swipe. The edit box is still as it is. It doesn't record the swipe. I will try to record the video and post it.

No idea what you mean by "window aligns to the direction I swipe". If you do the swipe when the system is expecting a keystroke sequence, the only thing that will happen is the key stroke will fill in.

The default key sequence for each swipe are documented in the README.

I am referring to the edit shorcut window. Once the text box becomes editable, when I swipe in any direction, the windows gets aligned to the edge of the screen. Nothing changes in the shortcut edit field. The three finger swipe would just align the open window to the edge. Like I said, I will upload a video tomorrow to demonstrate it.

Ok, I need some help please!

I worked through the guide on my Lenovo y50-70 UHD (Bios 1.14 from the link in post #1) Notebook.
(Mac OS 10.11.3 installed, Windows shows me a dedicated graphic memory of 128MB so i left the part
setting up the memory in UEFI)
Everything seems to work till i came to the step "Patching IOKit framework".

After applying these two lines:

sudo perl -i.bak -pe 's|\xB8\x01\x00\x00\x00\xF6\xC1\x01\x0F\x85|\x33\xC0\x90\x90\x90\x90\x90\x90\x90\xE9|sg' /System/Library/Frameworks/IOKit.framework/Versions/Current/IOKit

sudo codesign -f -s - /System/Library/Frameworks/IOKit.framework/Versions/Current/IOKit

and restarting with selecting "boot without caches" the screen starts to flicker very heavy !

any ideas ?

You must set DVMT-prealloc. The idea that Windows dedicated memory status has some correlation with the setting is pure myth (read the FAQ).

Q. Is Intel Broadwell graphics supported?

...
IMPORTANT!: Contrary to many of the guides you will read, Windows is NOT a valid way to determine what DVMT-prealloc is set to. There is no correlation, especially with Windows 10.

@RehabMan:

Thank You ! Working now !

Set the DVMT-prealloc "setup_var 0x18c 0x4" in UEFI-Shell.
now it works like charm.

but as in the guide described there is only Intel HD4600 activated now.
is there no way to activate the nvidia card too ?
(sorry for that question but this is my first hackbook ;-))
