I got it booting..
USB3 fix is not applied. Was having challenges so i started over and thought I would not do the USB and go with what is the basic

My approach was => I mounted the EFI of the thumbdrive and copied the config.plist to the efi of the drive.
It now boots properly. I also added back in only the AppleIntelE1000e.kext and ethernet is now working!

Overnight I left it on.. It went to sleep and when returned i was able to log in and surf the web.
I wanted to verify my boot so I launched Clover Configurator - as the popup of efi was about to appear it rebooted. :( - Does that sound familiar? should i add darkwake=0 ?

The boot flags I'm using
are -v nv_disable=1 cpus=1 dart=0

cpus=1 seems to be essential :( . What an I do to work through removing that and using all the cpus?

First thanks for the guide is amazing ..

I made the step-by-step but is giving following error at boot time.

--Power Management may be incomplete or unsupported "

Mother board = GA-H97M-D3H
I5-4440

Help

I've never seen this error before as most of the i5 processors support power management. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution. I recommend you post the problem in one of these threads:

Hi Stork!

Very nice build and perfect installation instructions!!! Many thanks for that!!!

Is the Samsung SSD supported out of the box or do I have to inject something during the installation process.
In Unibeast: Do I have to tick the first box at GraphicsConfiguration for the onboard Graphics?

Thanks!

Samsung SSDs are supported OOB. In UniBeast, you only need to check the on-board graphics opitons if you're using the on-board graphics, otherwise, (if you're using a graphics card) just skip this option.

So managed to enable both ethernets!!!! Yeah Team.

But still struggling with the Cpu Cores..

The cpu is the i7-4790k and I have been able to change the boot string to cpus=4 and it boots and Activity Monitor shows 4 out of 8 cpus as active. Im assuming the 8 is the cpu threads. When I run geekbench 32 it reports 2 cores / 4 threads.

I fired up MultiBeast and installed the VoodooTSCSync initially as 4 core but didn't work. I tried the voodooo 8 Core because i'm not sure if thats really 8 thread and not really core??? Again didnt work. I went to look for the kext thinking maybe there were two colliding variants.. There is nothing in my /S/L/E with Voodoo in the name????? The PDF says VoodooTSCSync is only needed for LGA2011 cpus .. mine is a LGA1150.

So how do i enable all these cores?

Help?

It's strange that you're having trouble with your i7 as it shouldn't cause any problems.

BTW, IIRC, MultiBeast v8 for El Capitan puts the kexts in /L/E, not /S/L/E, due to El Capitan's security on /S/L/E.

hello guys
i have g3258 pentium cpu, h81m-d3h motherboard and gtx 960.
i installed nvidia web driver and any driver but my pc only random boot ...

Stork - you are a legend in these parts. Thanks for sharing all of your experience and wisdom with this community. I will be using your guide for my Gigabyte H97N MoBo. This will be my first install, so I especially appreciate the small but courteous inclusions of check boxes.

Because I am a novice, I have a potentially dumb question. I have a different video card than you do - I have the EVGA GTX 980 Hybrid 6 gig. What if anything, should I do differently in the course of using your guide to accommodate the difference?

Thanks in advance to you or anyone else who can help me with an answer.

<blush> Thank you. </blush> I make my guides for the first time hackintosh people.

Good News! Since the 950 and 980 are nVidia Maxwell chipset cards, you can use the same procedures. All the Maxwell chipset graphics cards will need to use the nVidia Web (and optional CUDA) drivers. So, go for it!
