I'm on BIOS A01. Should I update before doing the dvmt changes and installing el Capitan?

Thanks for all the great guides, but I have one minor problem.

I can't install clover on the HDD EFI.

i successfully installed 10.10.1 from usb using clover 3292 and have a working OS X install using clover on the usb to boot. When I try to install clover in the HDD, I don't see the EFI partition as an option, just the OS X partition. If I install clover, it appears in that partition. If I mount the EFI partition, no clover.

I I tried mounting the EFI partition before installing clover, but still no joy.

Any ideas?

thanks again.

If your HDD has a GPT partition, OSX partition is the right destination. When you mount EFI partition did you mount it as msdos type. Assume your system disk in disk0, the command should be
Code:
sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk0s1 /Volumes/EFI
them there should be a /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER folder

That worked thanks. I had selected some of the options for clover legacy by mistake. All booting up perfectly now. I applied the kexts from the first post in this thread and have Wi-Fi working but no Bluetooth for some reason. I need to get to grips with the DSDT patches next.

Is it possible to enable display scaling like the retina macbook for my HD display? At native resolution, text is v small and if I change the LCD resolution in display prefs, it looks awful.

Thanks again

Since you didn't mention it, sounds like you forgot about installing BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext.

I'm having the same problem with Bluetooth. I have installed all 3 kexts and fixed the permissions, but no BT hardware is detected. I posted a copy of my ioreg.View attachment MacBook Air.zip

Alright, I've got El Capitan successfully running but I've encountered some problems. If rehabman or someone else could help me, that would be greatly appreciated.

I dumped my DSDT and SSDT files through clover (f4), however when I try to recompile them with no changes, I get errors. I am aware that there are common fixes and I have tried them, I still get errors. If anyone could tell me which patches they used, that would be great.

Is it possible to get microphone/camera to work? It's not a big deal if it can't.
I'm not running the beta, if that helps. If any files are needed, do let me know.
As far as I know, I'm running VoodooPS2Controller and FakeSMC from rehabman, fakePCIID, FakePCIID_BCM94352Z_as_BCM94360CS2 and the voodoo audio kext from the first page.

Mic is audio issue (covered in FAQ): http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Camera is probably USB issue: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-support/173616-guide-10-11-usb-changes-solutions.html

My apologies good sir! I "read" it a few times but I skimmed through a lot. I read it properly this time and found the way to properly patch DSDTs. I'll be trying to fix other things myself for now. Will hit you up if I encounter any other problems.

Thank you again!
