I have installed Yosemite on my machine with the following specs:

Asrock X99M Extreme4
Intel Core Haswell-E i7-5820K
EVGA GTX 750 1GB ACX
PNY DDR4 2800 16GB RAM
Kingston 240GB SSD

Yosemite 10.10.3

I managed to install Yosemite on an SSD. I installed Clover using Clover installation. Clover config file and debug log are enclosed.

When I boot, it goes through a number of steps and reboots. It seems to identify the CPU properly and says that PM is not supported. I also see a message saying that the graphics chip is not recognized.

As the machine does not boot successfully, I cannot load Nvidia retail drivers.

I tried nv_disable=1 which did not help either. With this flag, the machine hangs at the same place but does not reboot.

The Haswell-E patch has been applied using Clover config. The following kexts are loaded using Clover:
FakeSMC
NullCPUPowerManagement
VoodooTSCSync
AppleIntelE1000

The boot flags used are:
npci=0x2000 kext-dev-mode=1 -v

I also tried safe mode. the result is the same. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I don't know anything 'bout that board but you might try:

If it has a serial port, disable it in bios.
Use MacPro5,1 instead of 6,1.
Don't know if the 750 needs injection in Clover but you since you've tried true/, try false/.
Change Inject Kext from Detect to Yes.

Mac Pro system definitions do not work well on my Asrock X99M Killer - result in a black screen or hangs at black screen/white apple.
iMac 14,2 works instead.

Interesting, never had a problem with 5,1 yet 6,1 has never worked well on my X99... I think I'll test iMac 14,2 for giggles...

The Nvidia driver pages indicate which System Definitions they're compatible with. I have an ASRock X99M running 10.10.5 and I use the one's below:

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/89538/

You can see it's compatible with 5,1, 4,1 and 3,1 and then there is beta support for others (14,2 is one of them).

I've read in the PDF install guide that's part of this massive guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...amsung-4k-asus-x99-e-ws-clover-efi-sm951.html how you can change a kext to allow you to run 6,1. I've done that, and can't say I've noticed any differences. In fact, graphics-wise it may be more unstable.

I've never tried 14,2. I'm curious to see if it smooths anything out on my install.

What I have installed right now is an EVGA GTX740 SC because it is natively supported and I am testing El Cap GM installation. Might reinstall the GTX980 and the drivers later on Yos or wait for El Cap and drivers for it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I tried each of them but the result is the same. Setup works with Windows 10. So, this cannot
be a hardware issue.

Ensured that the serial port is disabled.
Changed InjectKexts to yes (from Detect)
Tried both MacPro5,1 and iMac14,2.

I have not yet tried removing Nvidia injection. I had that set to NO originally and changed to YES when I could not boot. But I will try it with the new SMBios settings also.

As I cannot even boot, I cannot install drivers.

Also, on my ASRock board, I couldn't get into the installer unless I disabled all the USB 3 options in the bios. It seems you were able to install just fine, so that doesn't seem to be your issue, but it is something you could try, if nothing else is working.

I was unable to boot to desktop with the GTX980 installed and nv_disable did not work. Only thing that did work was removing the 980, installing the 740, boot, install drivers, reboot, select nVidia drivers in the pref pane, shut down, swap the 740 for the 980 and boot. Then it would boot to desktop. Total PITA and the view was not worth the climb IMHO.

I did the installation on an older Haswell setup I had. This is suggested on another site for X99 installations.

So, I will try your suggestion. I did see some message about a problem with USB.
