Thanks for that... What about post installation??? Can you share
your Multibeast mb file for this machine (ie. the Gigabyte Core i5-5200U Ultra Compact Mini PC Barebone (GB-BXi5-5200),
I am getting the one without the H (non 2.5in HD version)

I just need to be sure that Yosemite 10.10.3 i fully working before I make the purchase. I know that the Realtek ALC269 can be fixed and the
m.2 wifi can be replaced with a proper Dell xps 12 2015 wifi)

in MultiBeast I did an EasyBeast install with the Realtek RTL8111 network driver and TRIM support selected. I don't use WiFi or onboard sound so I don't know about setting those up.

Hi All...

I can confirm that Unibeast 4.1 and Chrimera 7.3 Yosemite works flawlessly on the GB-BXi5-5200 (rev. 1.0).
One of the easiest trouble free installations I have done on a hackintosh [note. Set Bios boot to Win 7 for legacy boot]

Hi Ablears..

I have done some testing and I find this setup freezes up quite a bit.
Are you encountering any of problems like what I am having.
Preview freezes when I edit to0 many pictures. Also copying some movies from external HD to the internal ssd also causes the machine to freeze.

Can I ask you how you set up your Unibeast 5.1 boot disk for 10.10.3.
Did you only choose USB and Yosemite and not select laptop or Legacy USB?

Would love to hear some feedback from you..

I set the Bios to your recomendations.
Created a Unibeast Yosemite 10.10.3 boot stick.

Installation could not be easier as you suggested..


However, I am getting random freezes... sometimes during copying of large files.
Sometime when editing pictures in Preview..

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Tony..

When are you going to do a guide for this machine.
Just using DSDT free is not good enough as the machine freezes all the time

I have a Dell P2715Q 4K(3840x2160) monitor. Can this box output 3840x2160@60Hz(mini dp) in Yosemite?

This seems to be a problem with all hd5500 systems. It does seem to be fixed in El Capitan, see this thread: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-support/168274-hd5500-freeze-issue.html
