Hello! I am new here, I've got my Probook up and running without any problems for a month or so. This is thanks to all your excellent posts and efforts, thanks for that! I am just wondering to your post: why would you install mentioned .kext patches manually from github, instead of using the Probook installer? I am using the BCM94352 as well. Thanks!

It just works!:)

I don't use the ProBook Installer, but the same solutions that I use personally are generally implemented by the ProBook Installer, even if there is a bit of delay in picking up updates that I make.

Most of the time, I'm running newer code than is available on even my github/bitbucket sites as I'm constantly improving them or fixing problems that are reported. I don't provide public builds until I've been running them a while or if the fix is urgently needed.

hello
I updated and enable after auido and trim , all smoothly.
Maybe it's coincidence , but since the update my usb go faster, relaconado ..... you know something about this?
Thanks and regards

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised that the Combo update went in smoothly, no issues, not even graphics. Installed audio kext using Multibeast.

I don't know if I'm right but there seems to be an improvement in responsiveness on my rig.

I was unable to boot my machine after the update due to my graphics card (GeForce GTX 970). In order to resolve the issue I used the nv_disable=1 (clover) option and booted into the Mac OS X. I then installed the beta NVIDIA drivers and restarted. Everything was all good after that.

Beta drivers:

UPDATE:
Since posting this NVIDIA has released new drivers. I used the built in NVIDIA Driver Manager (System Preferences) to grab the latest updates.

Link to new drivers (NOTE: I didn't verify this link since I used NVIDIA Driver Manager): http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Quadro_Certified/346.01.03f01/WebDriver-346.01.03f01.pkg

thank you sir. this corrected the issue i was having with my system (gtx 970)

X99 10.10.4 Upgrade

This is for the folks using the new X99 Motherboards (Haswell-E).

In my case a Gigabyte GA-X99-UD5 WiFi, booting with Chameleon/Chimera and already using Nvidia Web Driver.

 1. Download OS X 10.10.4 Combo Update
 2. Insert UNIBeast Yosemite USB key - You do have this handy right ?
 3. Disable Nvidia Web driver using Nvidia Driver Manager in System Preferences
 4. Replace kernel flag nvda_drv=1 with nv_disable=1 in org.chameleon.Boot.plist
 5. Reboot
 6. Run 10.10.4 Combo Update
 7. Reboot onto UNIBeast Yosemite key
 8. Open terminal
 9. Make a backup copy of kernel on target disk
 10. Patch kernel on target disk - Haswell-E and x99 temporary guide
 11. Quit Installer
 12. Reboot onto target disk
 13. Install new Nvidia Web driver using Nvidia Driver Manager
 14. Replace kernel flag nv_disable=1 with nvda_drv=1 before rebooting
 15. Reboot

My audio setup (ALC1150 + Voodoo HDA) survived the upgrade.

Looked at nasty warning from Apple about trimforce and decided not to.

"Use of this tool to enable TRIM may result in unintended data loss or data corruption."

Will wait a bit, full TimeMachine backup of all drives first . . .

Upgrade went smoothly with Clover. Followed instructions, but updated via App Store. Used Multibeast to update audio (ALC898 for me).

TRIM was working after the update, but I went ahead and did the Terminal command for good measure. Still have TRIM.

So far so good! :)

when i updated to 10.10.4 i forgot to enable Trim Support silly me  but yeah Trim Force works perfect

I followed Stork's procedure (except for the backup! I'm crazy!) and it worked flawlessly!

But as I have a Nvidia GTX 960 I had to start OS X updates with following procedure (and many forced reboots):

 1. Repaired permissions (maybe this is optional)
 2. Update OS X with the App store
 3. Rebooted to apply updates
 4. At Chimera boot prompt I've issued this option only nv_disable=1
 5. Started OS X with messy graphics (please wait a little more for black screen and spinning ball :beachball: ) and updated Nvidia drivers through NVIDIA Driver Manager panel
 6. When prompted rebooted (this time with no options!)
 7. Switched to Nvidia Web driver (was not selected by default)
 8. Rebooted again for having hires graphics
 9. At OS X boot I've runned MultiBeast 7.3 and installed again Audio, Ethernet
 10. Rebooted again to get audio working
 11. At OS X boot I've runned TRIM command line sudo trimforce enable
 12. Rebooted again (this time is the last time!)

Enjoy the latest version!
:headbang:

Cheers
Max
